Why cant you guys just enjoy the rest of this season and the big 12 & NCAA tournament.......I think we have more than 4 games left, if Shayok gets back to form, we can beat anybody who is left on our schedule....

Amen CyBobby. ISU may lose quickly in the NCAA's, or they may go further than their seed. What I do know is that how a team "finishes" the reg. season is not an indicator of how they play in the NCAA's. It's a whole new season.
The problem is that as their seed gets worse, the faster they have a play a top team.

You gotta give credit to the players on the 2013-14. They found ways to win. I have no doubt they beat UConn with a healthy Niang. Really unfortunate cause that team was rolling in March.

Sure--they were resilient in a lot of games.

That last home game v. OSU was all OSU for the most part, and they were up 4 with what 20 seconds left. If Naz's shot doesn't fall, and Embid plays for KU in the Big 12 tourney I'm not sure ISU is remembered as 'rolling'.

Was fun how it turned out though for sure.

A 'new' season might be just what this team needs. Might be a bit of a mental block there vs. these teams that they know can beat them.

Here we go with relating real life to college basketball again. Are people really this pathetic in their view of life, like those two things are related?

And where did I put a Big 12 team on the same plane as the MVC? Now you're just making things up to be angry about. That's hilarious. And again, with just thinking ISU was somehow just supposed to win the conference because of a couple of nice wins. They have limitations, much more than people are even remotely attempting to acknowledge.

And do you think KU and ISU are on some sort of similar level of expectations? That's also funny.

Anyway, mediocre is average. At times, this team has been average, at times a decent team, not much more. So, they're above average overall, and they'll make the NCAA tournament as a result.

Getting into the NCAA tournament is not average. If you can't enjoy it, don't watch.

KU not being a top 5 team makes people think winning the conference is a lot easier this year than it really is or ever was. Reality is that 14-4 may not be good enough to win outright. That's two full games better than any team in the Hoiberg and Prohm eras, and league SOS is similar to or better than those other years. I'm interested to hear which of the previous Hoiberg or Prohm teams that went 12-6, 11-7 or 10-8 in the conference in seasons where the SOS was very similar to this year would've won the conference.

It’s not that we didn’t win the conference and should have, it’s that we have fallen off a cliff since the point when we looked like the team to beat. This team was top 25 in both offense and defense at that time. Statistically, we were the ISU team best suited for postseason success since the turn of the century 3 weeks ago.

Attack, you do deserve much better. We absolve you of whatever crime has kept you lashed to this god awful set of teams. Please help yourself to the best teams of every variety, Baylor for WBB, Alabama for football, Duke for MBB, Iowa for Wrestling, etc. You should not have to put up with this crap.
