Worrying about what will happen with our endzone seats. We really like them. Afraid that they may turn into big donor seats that we won't be able to afford.

I think the the OP of that was actually the one to delete it because he was worried that posting a private conversation would discourage JP from responding the way he has in the past. Just to clear the mods' names a bit.
As the OP, I can verify that this is exactly what happened. My thanks to the mods for the help.Thank you. This is exactly what happened. The OP decided he/she wasn't comfortable with the thread being posted.
Part me hopes they move the entire student section to the south endzone. That would look pretty dang cool. But the only logistical thing would be the 3500 existing seats there and putting the students next to the visitors (which can be worked out)
While I do think it would be cool to have the students anchoring that south endzone, as an old band member I hope it doesn't happen. When I started in 2005 the band was still in the south end zone seats and there was no connection between them and the student section. It has gotten WAY better since they moved the band in front of the Jacobsen Building. You actually see a decent amount of participation in the student section with stuff like Cowbell and some of the other cheers now. In a perfect world you'd have the students on one end and the band on the other anchoring the end zones and their energy would spill over and get the other sections involved. Realistically though, I think you'd just throw away what's been built by the current arrangement.
Don't think you will see JP seperate the band/student section.......the atmosphere has been somuch better since those two have been together.
Why not make a place for the Lil bastards(jk) behind the new seats, a flat grass field, inflatables, etc. If they really want to play around that bad, then they don't want to watch the game. It doesn't need to be in view of the field.
Looks like they'll just need to build a better box and suites on the east side.
On a happier note, one of our hok friends (and ACTUAL iowa graduate) is coming to the game with us saturday morning because, and I quote word-for-word, "Ames looks way more fun than Iowa City for tailgating. People in Iowa City suck." One small victory at a time, boys.
Now you just need to make the transformation complete

Just curious....What would your opinion be if they moved you into the existing student section and kept the same or close pricing? I would think that would be a decent option. I guess we will see when the time comes (if it ever comes)

I agree, Pollard knows a good thing when it catches on. They also wont give up paying seats to put the band in the SEZ with the students, so I don't think either one will be moving.
If you want to increase the size of the student section (which, imho, is probably needed before too long) you're going to have to put students down there.
What percent of Hillside season tickets are affiliated with Jr. Cyclone Club members anyway? Is that figure available? I'd guess if you vacate all the young alumni and other people from the hillside who are just there for the 99$ price point, put them in the upper deck or corners of the SEZ at the same cost, there will be plenty of room on the remaining north hillsides for people's kids to frolic around.
This has always seemed like a non-issue to me.
