This boxing/MMA argument is dumb. Any boxer should win under boxing rules and any MMA guy should win under MMA rules. Not that hard.

MMA is probably in a healthier place but there is a reason why we see guys like CM box, because the money at the top is still better in boxing.

So you think Michael Jordan should have beaten Tiger Woods on the golf course to prove who was the superior athlete?

So Floyd is trained exclusively in boxing, while McGregor is trained in both boxing and kicking. So McGregor already had the boxing skills and failed miserably in the boxing ring, but you think Floyd should have had to prove he can kick also to be better? That makes no sense.

You're being purposely obtuse.

A decathlete will never beat an elite sprinter or thrower.

MMA has grappling, submissions, and striking. Splitting your training between Muay Thai and BJJ is totally different than being a boxing specialist.

Plus MMA boxing is nothing like boxing boxing. Foot work is totally different. MMA striking you can box like a real boxer because of kicks and takedowns.

Eh, boxing is a dying sport. MMA is the prime combat sport now. These are boxing's last gasps.
There's a lot of good boxing happening, but I don't disagree that it will never have the mass appeal as it did in its heyday.

Big problem is that casual fans always have gravitated to the heavyweight division and that division has been hot poop for decades now. Middleweight divisions have some really great fighters and potential matchups.

I forgot MMA was still a thing or at least a big thing.

Everyone's saying how pathetic this fight was, but ya'll can't wait to fork over the $$ for the next gimmick fight and start the process all over again.

People got exactly what they paid for. A 58 year old retiree who hadn't fought in 20 years vs. an amateur boxer. Millions of people paid to watch it. Amazing.

I would not have watched it if I had to pay for it outside of a Netflix subscription we already had.

Wasn't the fight just on regular Netflix or was it an extra charge?

Either way it was more about seeing if Tyson still had something, mayyyyybe wanting to see one of these doofuses get their teeth knocked in but I don't see this much attention to whatever's next.

Regular Netflix. Lots of issues with the stream apparently.

It WAS pathetic and I watched 0.0 seconds of it. Most have netflix so no biggie. If it was PPV, I would laugh.

Leaving this here, for reference.

Netflix been climbing leading up to this fight.

We will see what it looks like Monday after this disaster.

So apparently the **** show that it was didnt hurt Netflix.

Small dip over the weekend, but most of that came prior to the fight on Friday, but another big jump today.

All these clips of Tyson pulling back are hilarious. Jake Paul would have gotten torched in a real fight.
