I have no dog in the fight but if it was MMA rules and Mayweather went into the octagon would he win?
No, he wouldn't, that doesn't change the fact that boxers are the superior tacticians.

All I heard before that fight was how McGregor was going to destroy Floyd then he was lucky to make it out of there without permanent brain damage.

Honestly think that anyone who watched is a sucker. Granted, everyone already has Netflix. If you subscribed, just to watch...yikes.

Granted, I do stupid things all of the time, so welcome to the club.

It costs 6.99 for a subscription. That’s not a sucker. I think u missed out on some great fights minus the headline fight. But paying an initial fee to watch that card would be well worth it and then some. Plus, I am not sure I know anyone that don’t already have a subscription

Weird. I thought Mayweather would win with it being boxing rules.
Mayweather is known to be able to take punches and just be a marathon boxer.

Everyone's saying how pathetic this fight was, but ya'll can't wait to fork over the $$ for the next gimmick fight and start the process all over again.

People got exactly what they paid for. A 58 year old retiree who hadn't fought in 20 years vs. an amateur boxer. Millions of people paid to watch it. Amazing.

I mean it was included with Netflix, which many people have. Nostalgia with Mike was probably worth the time.

Mike Tyson is more interesting to me as an interviewer and storyteller these days.

No one needs to see this stuff. Worse than Ali at the end of his ring run.

Father Time remains undefeated

I don’t disagree and have said it was sad, but nostalgia is a powerful drug, obviously.

Why wouldn’t he if he is the superior fighter?
So you think Michael Jordan should have beaten Tiger Woods on the golf course to prove who was the superior athlete?

So Floyd is trained exclusively in boxing, while McGregor is trained in both boxing and kicking. So McGregor already had the boxing skills and failed miserably in the boxing ring, but you think Floyd should have had to prove he can kick also to be better? That makes no sense.

That is a dumb comparison. We are talking best fighter, not best boxer. Same sized man vs man. Pretty easy to see who is better by letting them go at it.

They already went at it, McGregor just wasn't allowed to kick. You can play hypothericals all you want, but the evidence we have is that McGregor is lucky the ref stopped the fight when he did.

Floyd just toyed with him the entire fight and waited until he was gassed then pummeled him the rest of the fight.

Yeah you got one really good fight in Barrios/Ramos, one excellent fight in Serrano/Taylor, and one crap fight I didn’t watch in Tyson/Paul that was probably destined to be exactly what we saw.

You do realize it was free right? I mean mad dad is 78 and has a Netflix subscription. So people already had the platform and didn’t have to pay any more money
