I am probably drinking a lot of Kool-Aid here, but maybe we just go win the whole F'n thing!

I mean, that's a great idea. But whose photo do we use for the Rachel Phelps fathead? Nobody wants to see the Vampire in a minidress.

Laying a foundation has been fun to watch.

So far after 3 years, we generally know we're going to get from ISU football:
-strong Dline play. Add Oline to that and it gets better.

-play a style that can make the high-octane offenses that the Big 12 has had have to adapt to, instead of ISU trying to keep up with them.

-best athletes put in the best spots for them to succeed and contribute.

-a definite 'ALL in' mentality that is a general expectation, not just something on a helmet.

It is fun to hear Campbell talking about this line as a unit in the way they used to talk about Toledo's line back when we were playing them. Didn't they have an entire set of Seniors with no injuries that was replaced by an entire set of Juniors?

Things are certainly looking better. Last year there were only 2 senior OL on the team, and neither one played more than a few snaps. In the 2016 UNI game I'm pretty sure ISU had zero returning starts, not starters, starts. CPR did not leave a lot in terms of OL.

I really liked how he said they didn’t try shortcuts. I’ll always remember how Mac rolled the dice by signing a bajillion JC players instead of HS kids—then most of them didn’t even make it to campus.
