Well when he’s the one with the bullhorn to fuel it that isnt exactly a bold prediction. And when Meyer isn’t fired it will die. Or when Meyer is fired or resigns and the names are Bob Stoops, Mark Dantonio, Chris Petersen and David Shaw then we’ll all feel really stupid about all of this.
I was thinking the same thing. Bringing in Stoops after the whole Joe Mixon incident wouldn't be the best PR move by OSU if they decided to split with Urban.
I don’t get it. I love CMC but guys, Ohio State is THE program. Outside of Nick Saban, OSU could name anyone in the college game and they’d go there. Hell, they could probably pull some NFL coaches away.
This isn’t some recently up and coming program trying to pull our coach away, this is the pinnacle of college football. It’s hard for me to think their number one target is a guy that’s had one good season at a power conference school.
Also, lol at whoever said the Browns was his dream job. He could literally call them up right now and say he wants the job and they’d fire their coach and hire him. That place is a **** show.
Now, the best we can do is cheer our team on and hope Ohio State wins a national title so whoever is coach is solidified there.

I agree with you, especially the bolded part. If the job does come open, I honestly think their first call is to someone currently with a HC gig in the NFL (Vrabel), and I believe they can certainly make it more than worth his while to make the move.
When you hire coaches from the State of Ohio you have to know that if Ohio State sez: We want you....the coach whether it be Earle Bruce or Matt Campbell will come running. OSU record of Coaches FIRED....Woody Hayes...Earle Bruce....John Cooper....Jim Tressel.....and maybe Urban Meyer......Better Fasten your seatbelts......
My answer would be Because we at ISU are just a stepping stone program to bigger and better jobs.....
Thats funny bosco....."How Insecure this fan base is"......All you have to do to find the reason for insecurity is to look over east where they have had 2 football coaches since 1979....I hate to say it because my family went to ISU but.....The things ISU is best at is....... LOSING football games and LOSING football coaches to OSU and of course Natl Champs Auburn......
And was an Ohio State assistant coach before that, so he had the ties.
If you're lookin' for a commitment from CMC......well good luck with that my friend, its never gonna happen in this lifetime.....
Not to mention he had won 4 national titles there and dodged an NCAA investigation involving a player being paid by boosters. He was ready for the big time.
IMO, very weak ones. Not like he was an coordinator or was there just 4-5 years prior. It was his several Natty at youngstown state that got it for him. That was more his Ohio connections to get the job. I remember his teams being quite good. I had former HS teammates that would have played against him, think I attended a game where he coached.
