Just an update...there is a Oceanic Airlines billboard in Ames now on South Duff (near Red Lobster). It is "vandalized" with the words "find815.com" (an online game). I'll try to snap a pic of it and share with all of you LOST addicts.

Here's a picture of the Ames billboard before it was vandalized...

(The close up of the clock is to show that Big Ben is set to 8:15.)

Wow, ABC sure is pumping money into this show for only an 8 episode season. A billboard in a small town? I have never heard of that for a tv show.

Currently there are 8 completed episodes. That's most likely all we're going to get unless the strike gets settled real quick.

I am hoping they still finish in six years. I was under the impression that this would be a full season and then seasons 5 & 6 were going to be 10 episodes each or so. Hopefully this makes season 5 a full season and we don't lose another year. I really didn't like the way they were stringing it out anyway.

But for the facts: I do love the show and hope it pays off what on it has started.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

(and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!)

I hope this season lives up to my lofty expectations.

It was going to be a whole season, but then writer strike happend and they had to go with what they had which I heard was 8 episodes. It is better than nothing, but with only 8 episodes that means 1 plot line will get resolved and 400 new plot lines will be opened.

Are they going to do a recap show? I have not seen an episode since was last on in 2006.

They usually do a recap show whenever Lost comes back from a brief or extended hiatus... they will most likely do one again before season 4's premiere. The premiere itself is 2 hours long, which is VERY exciting! I can't wait to see if any of my theories will hold any water when the new season starts.

If you go to here you can see a recap of lost in 8 min 15 sec.

Lost - Home - ABC.com

There was a good interview with Matthew Fox (Jack) in Entertainment Weekly and he talks about the strike and the up coming shows. He said there only 8 episodes ready but they are hoping the strike ends soon and they can get another 8. He also said there are going to be only 48 shows left in the series. One thing I thought was interesting was he said the first couple seasons were slow because the producers didn't know quite where they wanted to go with the show but they do now and its going to get real good real quick.

So the big questions is will it become Heroes or 24 good? The first season was great when it was a mystery, and then it just got silly.

I am hoping that now we will get the answers to... What makes this island so special? Who gets off the island and why Jack thinks they have to go back? I want to know what the Dharma is all about. I think Juliet is in the coffin that Jack goes to see in the last episode.

There are so many questions I have that I couldn't begin to list them....

Biggest I can remember from last season - WTF was in the cabin that Ben took Jack to?

The weirdest part about that scene is when Locke is looking at the fire caused by the lantern crashing to the ground, when suddenly the fire disappears a frame later. The scene happens so quickly that you hardly notice it, and I'm positive it was intentional.

EVERYTHING is intentional. They know that us psychos have DVRs and whatnot so we can analyze everything frame by frame. I remember seeing pictures on the internet of that scrap of paper Jack was holding in the last episode. I just wonder what things I've missed so far.....

Also when Locke is looking at the rocking chair and it cuts to Ben getting pushed against the wall......it cuts back to the chair and there is some person/ghost/silhouette in the chair. Its only for about 1 or 2 frames though. Was that Jacob?

They do the same kinds of things in 24. For decades producers have used either 555 or KL5 for prefixes for phone numbers (as no one uses the 555 prefix in the US). 24's producer then decided to have Jack dial a phone number with a real prefix. Several brain surgeon TV watchers noticed this and decided to dial it to see who would pick up. The producer figured viewers would pick up on the real phone number that would lead to a 24 fan hotline that had been created with that number.
