Marshall and Martin already said coming back. Cinzano (med school) and Warnock (dental school) have both said this is it for playing, although both have a COVID year if they change their minds. Stuelke sounds all in, especially with Clark pumping her up and getting her touches. Unless Clark goes pro they should do well in the portal considering Clark leads the nation in assists. Will probaby be on TV for every game so lots of NIL chances for quality players.
Czinano is on her 5th year so she couldn't come back even if she wanted to.

I absolutely love lexi and I get why she wants to be a pg but am I the only one that doesn't see her doing all that well as a full time pg on a great team? She just seemed like someone with handles good enough to fill in for 3 or 4 minute stretches. She has really dropped off offensively. I know denae and lexi said they don't like the offense. They want a more fast paced offense but they are literally told to shoot as soon as they are open from anywhere. Lexi would have averaged 20 if she didn't miss 4 or 5 layups a game.

I think she needs a mid major with a really good offensely minded, positive coaching staff that would have the time and motivation to remake her game to make it WNBA ready. Indiana would be great, but the pressure to win every game would interfere with the rebuilding process. Bring one or two similarly WNBA-motivated transfers, and there could be lots of potential wins in March.

I wonder how far away from home does she want to go. With her sister going to Montana if she would go east her family will mainly have to watch on TV to see their girls play.
So a much deeper question that goes along with getting your parents in the stands to watch games. Why is Wisconsin womens bball so bad? I fully understand why Lexi would not have wanted to play for them based on history. I don’t understand how a university that does so well in a broad range of athletics has allowed the women’s program to be so bad.

She has good handles and could play PG, but I agree. It's too late for her to develop into a PG for a top team. She should've been developed as a sharpshooting 3-point specialist with the ability to attack closeouts and finish at the rim, hit a midrange, or get fouled. Instead, we made her a defensive stopper small forward slasher.

Her skills are very refined. She can still be a very good player at the next level, but the last 3 years didn't help her except for showing she can guard.

After watching the final 4 and natty, Lexi will get absolutely burned by good teams if she wants to be a pg. I will say this, she will do ‘okay’ at pg in the big 10 conference just like she would be a ‘okay’ pg in the big 12 purely due to competition.

Not getting all of the PG talk. Seems unlikely to be factor in this transfer to me. What coach is going to hand over the PG reigns to a 4th year college player who never played the position in college? I think it's a weird take on this.

Indiana is interesting because according to their coach they are built on defense. While I get the sentiment you want to play a more free flowing offense, you still have to play defense. Iowa was the perfect example in the national championship game of a high powered offense that was not a good defensive team.

As far as the women's team, they just weren't very good in the old days. Times have changed, as Moren has built the program into a blue-collar team that focuses on defense and has consistently ranked in the Top 25 the past few seasons, appearing in the poll for 75 consecutive weeks starting with the preseason one in 2019-2020. That's the fourth-longest active streak.

Because that was the rumor as to why she left. I think Chris may have hinted at it, I could be wrong. Someone said she was upset because she was promised she would play more pg and it wasn't happening.

It might not work with her at PG for a top team, but I don't think you can rule out that she can develop into a PG in the future. In the little that she played it for ISU she brought an entirely new element to the offense...putting the defense on the defensive at the very beginning of the posession, something Emily does not offer. When you can, and sometimes do, blow by your defender with raw speed, now the denfense is scrambling and shooters and cutters are open.

Now the issue is getting to the WNBA in the first place. I mentioned in an earlier comment, her biggest weakness is she has virtually no moves as a 1 on 1 offensive player. It may or may not be realistic to develop 1 or 2 moves to get by your defender over the next year, but that's where I would start; and if no programs offer that type of coaching, which I suspect is the case, get a private coach or try to find a successful ex player to work with you.

I interpret Danae’s comments to be more about not wanting so much of the offense to be passing the ball into someone else. She and Lexi want to take 20 shots.

Maybe she wants to play beyond college? Much higher odds of sticking at the 1 than the 2.
