Thanks for the championships, Larry, but you limited your career options when you decided it was more important to party than it was to ride home with your team.

Thank you 99; my sentiments exactly. Larry certainly fractured the fan base and divided our loyalty. I feel part of the problem were loyal LE supporters trying to blame the AD for LE's shortcomings, while at the same time kept slapping LE on the back and encouraging him to keep it up all because he won the B12.

I think that's still going on. We're discussing it again today. It's like a concept that won't die.

The JO vs LE debate is an interesting one.

JO = up and down fun and the beginning (and probably the end) of Hilton Magic.

LE = Defense, Rebounding, Road Wins (something JO could not achieve with any consistency).

JO will always be the "greatest" Iowa State Coach

LE in my mind will always be the "best" Iowa State Coach
