Laptop repair

OK, this is simple, but I haven't shopped around to do this.
My nice HP laptop is down right now with an error regarding a fan issue.

I did their BIOS update and all that, got nowhere.

Best place in Ames for a brutally simple repair, or to get the part I'll need?

There was a place just back end of building off main street in Ames I think it may have been on Kellogg. They did a good job of putting in a new hard drive for me. Price wasn't too bad.
