KXNO bad ratings

I don't know when this was released but it doesn't look very good for KXNO.

These are probably good ratings....it would make them the number 1 all sports format station in the DSM Market

The ratings are 3.3 for fall of 2007, 3.3 for winter of 2008, 2.2 for spring of 2008, and 1.7 for summer of 2008.

The summer ratings are always lower because its the slow time for sports. What will be interesting is to compare the fall and winter number for this year to these numbers.

If I understand that table right, the 1.7 is for Summer 2008. Given that not much is going on at ISU/Iowa in the summer, maybe that rating is a natural cyclical drop? The Fall 2008 rating would be interesting...

Their programming has drastically gone down hill. I don't know if its the lack of competition but the local shows they have are really sub par.

Cotlar knows very little about sports and will not take a side on anything.

Jon Miller's show is boring.

Marty and Miller's show is nothing more than shock jock radio.

It wouldn't suprise me at all if people are given another sports alternative, even if it is a national show, will tune into that over the stuff on KXNO.

Jon Miller's show is boring.

True - I don't know if it's his content or his delivery. He talks so slow and with such a monotone, it puts you to sleep.
Watching him on the Mediacom Connections TV show is brutal. His speaking style, along with that natural frown on his face...I've seen more cheery people at hospital waiting rooms.

I get to hear about all teams and all sports not just what the hawks are doing in what ever sport they are playing. I would be very happy to only hear about Red sox, Yankees and Pats all day long if I never have to hear Larry Cotler and Marty and Miller again. If you ever lived in a city that had real sports radio you would understand what REAL sports radio is.
