I saw the interview where Keshon said his injury has been bothering him since the first conference game. TJ said it affects his ability to accelerate and pushoff...... this explains A LOT.
So I just want to say THANK YOU Keshon. My heart breaks for you not being able to finish your senior year. Loved you as a cyclone, will be following your future career!

So sorry to hear that Gilbert is done for the year. I really appreciate all of his contributions to the Cyclone program. The time and effort that he put into his time at ISU will be rewarded as he continues his career. He will always have the Cyclone spirit in him and the support of the Cyclone family. Thoughts and prayers for his full recovery from is injuries.

Sucks for him. He's going to have a great career in Europe if he gets back to full strength

I just don’t get the whole thing. Just say he’s out for the first 2 rounds and then reevaluate. That’s 2 weeks off it. Unless his leg fell off a 23 yo can come back from a groin
I dont think its as simple as a groin. Could be sports hernia, maybe a bulging disc, who knows. My pure speculative guess is its something that needs surgery and theyve been putting it off hoping itd heal enough he could play, and it just hasnt.

Healthy Keyshon was a gd cheat code this year. Never seen anyone take and make so many "omg what a terrible decision" shots with 3 guys a foot taller all over him. Wish him the best!

I agree with you. Sports hernia recovery time with surgery is about 2.5-3 months. Usually the player takes a couple weeks to see if mobility improves and if it does, they slowly take a month to six weeks of rehab before trying to get into game shape. I think there may be a surgery needed, but obviously with HIPAA we don't speak definitively about that stuff any more. Either way, if he's still dealing with the issue without much improvement, his ability to play in this tournament was not realistic.
