Lot of memory loss going on with Park. People seem to remember one bad game against a great defense, and forget that he's been really good in pretty much every other game he's played. Kempt had a couple balls today that could have been picked but weren't. He through 10 feet behind a wide open Trevor Ryan on one play and was lucky the safety didn't make a play on it. That was more inaccurate than any of Park's throws.
Yes, Kempt struggled today. Easy to overlook it based on the easy win. Between weather and game plan it may be nothing to worry about, but our passing game was not productive against a historically terrible defense. Still, i think he will be solid if called on to go the rest of the season. Zeb looked good too. I hopePark comes back, but if not we are in pretty good hands.

Kempt is fine. The way CMC is building this program it won't matter. It is a plug and play team system. You know, an actual legit program. We just haven't cleansed ourselves of the Rhoads program. I am not saying we are National Champions, but we should be competitive in games and have a chance to win.

Absolutely! If you could go back to CPR's last atrocious loss, or to the first day CMC was hired, wouldn't you agree that the greatest single increment of improvement would be if you could somehow subtract or extract everything stupid, dumb, and silly without losing ANY favorable attribute? THEN - each and any upgrade - no matter how small - would yield noticeable and REAL results! THAT is exactly what we have now with Kyle, andI for one am thrilled with it!

I think I need to get like 2-3 more bong rips in me before this makes any sense. I mean, I know it makes perfect sense but I just need to get on another level to jive with it.

So everyone sucks?

When was the last time we have had a fulltime starting NFL QB?

I'm a Lanning fan, in spite of the lack of arm talent. Collin Klein was a Heisman finalist.

Downfield passing doesn't work at ISU and I have 10 years of film from Mcfarland, Herman, Messingham, Mangino to prove it. But I'm glad we ditched the shades of Mangino-era deepball, 48 passes (mostly downfield) + 5 sacks as opposed to only 10 RB handoffs we did vs Texas for the short stuff we did vs OU & KU. Hopefully Park can stick to that gameplan and not pick pass on every RPO and not chuck every pass deep and never check down...ISU will lose a lot of games that way.

Klein wasn't an NFL QB. I think Park has a lot of talent and can be a good college QB and not have an opinion of his professional future. Lots of good college QB's don't make the league

Ahhhhh omfg, no kidding Einstein. That is my point. Collin Klein had a 12 win season and was a Heisman finalist inspite of not being an NFL QB, like Park. Do you not understand the difference in the offenses they ran? And if not, why do you debate football with people?

There is a reason that Kyle was not a starter throughout his college career. He clearly has weakness. But I like that he is calm, a good game manager and can make those occasionally hard throws. Park is more talented than him, but I think he gets to high and to low, which is not a good thing for a QB at ISU, who will have to face a lot of adversity and still keep calm. Hope the coach makes the right call for the situation. I also think it is good they have got Roland in the rotation.

I'm sorry, but that (first part) is wrong! He was not a starter because the coach that recruited him to Oregon State took another job...that can detour the best of athletes! We are greatly blessed to have KK!

So we don't have Bill Snyder's offense and we don't have an NFL QB so you think next year's offense will be worse than this years. I strongly disagree with that and think next year's offense will be better than the years

This year's offense was 22nd in the country in efficiency prior to today's game. Im not sure that will change much after today's game where we punted 9 times vs what I believe was a bottom 100 defense in KU. 22nd is amazing for ISU being that we were never top 50 with a downfield passing attack for the last decade. Kstate was 10th, 16th, 18th, 19th in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, respectively. I think Campbell is learning this lesson about ISU football and what it takes to win in the Big 12 at a disadvantaged program. Now I'm going to go do what I do - actually watch college football. Lots and lots of college football.

Wanna guess which quarterback headed the offense for 4 out of those 5 games we were 22nd best?

We were 48th prior to Kempt completing 75% of his passes for an average of 18.5 per completion vs OU. 48th with Jacob Park. And I asked you to tell me how many seasons you think Jacob Park starts in the NFL?

More inaccurate than 3 actual ints? Guess our definitions are different.

Kempt is our Alex Smith.

Seems to be working out pretty okay for the Chiefs, why not emulate it.

Honestly, I don't care which QB starts as long as the coaching staff adjusts as needed. There are going to be games/situations where Kempt, Park, or Lanning are particularly appropriate. Each has notable strengths and weaknesses.

I'm guessing a lot of really good college QBs never started a game in the NFL. Seems reasonable to me that Park could finish his ISU career with a legit case as the best to play the position at ISU yet do nothing in the league. I should probably just defer to you though since watching lots and lots of college football is what you do.
