Someone is bitter, and maybe jealous. How is our recruiting dirty? We aren't doing anything illegal, I can guarantee you that.

Martins past does bring up some red flags. Not many coaches that get in trouble change their ways. The fact that KSU a school that couldnt win no matter what, with some great coaches all of a sudden is winning also raises a few eyebrows. That and the fact that KSU has never really gotten top talent to the school and all of a sudden they are bringing in top 25 players every year, questions are going to be asked. Add a former AAU coach that is very connected and getting paid a lot, and yes you are going to get people asking questions.

Right. If i cared more I'd go find all the links to Martins shady past, some very interesting articles on this nearly half a million dollar a year 'assistant'...frankly, I don't care. When I look at Martin I get a bad taste in my mouth. The guys dirty. The program is dirty. If some KSU fan get's riled up than I guess I don't really care.

Wear a red shirt that says Cyclone Alley on it and you get a good seat. Don't wear the shirt and your screwed. Great concept. K-State should use it. Besides going nuts last night and noticing how great the student section was at K-State last night. I like our way. K-State needed 3 or 4 people to stand down at the bottom of the student section and get on different students for doing stuff the wrong way.

C'mon, you missed the most important part.... freakin' instructions on what to do during opposing teams free-throws. Ha that kills me.

Frank Martin recruits players by presenting them with a letter of intent and then glaring at them until they sign it. Once they sign it he introduces them to "Satan", his strength and conditioning coach, and within half an hour they are reduced to tears. Doing 50 yard sprints while flipping a rear tractor tire end over end will do that to people. If they survive the first week of off season conditioning they become very difficult to intimidate on the court. They may not be able to dribble, pass, or shoot but they make other teams wish they were playing a different opponent.

How is our progam dirty? Frank and his staff are getting these recruits because they work their ***** off in recruiting. Dalonte Hill has helped greatly in getting highly rated players because of his AAU connections. It may seem like he is breaking rules, but I am very confident that he isn't. I guess we'll have to keep waiting to see if an NCAA investigation starts, but I doubt they will find anything that is illegal.

So if ISU starts winning a lot of games again, this is reason to raise eyebrows? You logic on this is pretty poor.

Where in Mac's past has he been caught breaking the rules. ISU has had success in the past and like it or not Hilton is a good recruiting tool. Last time I checked there are a few conference title banners hanging in the rafters of Hilton as well as a few Sweet 16 banners.

Every coach in the country works their *** off to get recruits. Most big time staffs have an outstanding recruitor. College basketball recruiting is a dirty business and AAU coaches are doing nothing to to clean that up. Is ISU running a clean program, sure I hope so, some say they have to be. Rumor is the NCAA was looking around Ames very hard a few years ago and the messes Mac had to clean up were bad. Just dont for a second think your program is clean because you never know.

not that you are going to care but kansas state has had a whole lot more success in the past than iowa state. i don't believe they hang banners but they would have some 16 sweet sixteen, 11 elite 8, and 4 final fours hanging so discounting them as cheaters then saying iowa st has tradition isnt a real good argument in this case. pointing out the 2 hour drive to the nearest airport might though.

What do those Sweet Sixteens, Elite 8's, and Final Fours matter if they were brought about by cheating?

They wouldn't just ban Frank Martin from coaching in the state of Florida for no reason if he hasn't done something illegal.

So the fact that Martin broke the rules way back when he was a high school coach has completely convinced you guys that he is running a dirty program now? Pretty weak.

How many coaches that break the rules once all of a sudden stop breaking them?

1947-1988
in those 41 years they won 15 league titles (5 Big 7/ 10 Big 8) finished 2cnd place in the league 14 times went to 17 NCAA tournaments. They aren't KU, but like it or not except for a period of time when they put all their resources into their football team(for one conference championship) kstate is a program that has some serious history. whether there are any violations going on or not remains to be seen but martin is building a program down there using the huggins/Cincinnati blueprint and they are going to be a successful but easy to hate team for quite awhile. they were a joke under altman, asbury, and wooldridge but they still own a 50 game or so lead on the overall series with isu i think.
