I keep hearing this but there are only 3 guys on this team from last year and one of them (Conditt) retweeted Rasir's half court shoot the other night. So it make's me a tad skeptical that he wasn't liked.
He was.

Robert Jones looks like Joachim Noah.
Also it’s fun to see that Houball is not dead ...
Brockington definitely pulled ahead as our best player with some breathing room tonight. He was an animal and imposed his will on a tough luck night where everyone was ice cold
Kalscheur did not bring it tonight and was mostly a non-factor.
Amen. Brockington is AVERAGING a double double for the season. Dude is filthy. Please update thread title to Brockington
Sort of combo Noah & Adam Morrison.
Having Hunter playing like he has so far makes me feel so good about his future here. The fact that I don't think you'll see much pushback on putting him at #2 says a lot for how well he's played.Gabe plays hard and I love him but after 3 games our 2 best players are Brockington and Hunter.
My takeaway for Gabe tonight is that he was pressing a bit. Forced some tough shots up. He was doing really well in the 1st half getting into the paint, but he seemed to almost be miffed at how easily he was getting penetration then would kind of get indecisive about what he wanted to do. My guess is this might be par for the course the type of player he is. Streaky

He does suspiciously look like all of these guys. Given the mustache, the wig-like curly mop, and the generic name...Anderson Varejao. Straight up doppelgänger.
I won't suggest that I follow advanced stats much, but those look about like what I saw last night, across the board, even to the order of the three bigs and Grill, Gabe, & Tre having such off nights. Really impressed with Jones' effort; we'll need Conditt to pick it up for much success this year, but not sure that's likely. Was nice to see Kunc look like he belonged on the floor vs. in intramurals... very concerned about our bigs beyond Jones, and he is what he is - hustler, defender, catches & makes his lay-ups/dunks.I still like Kalscheur but last night will hopefully be one of his worst games this season.

36 minutes but very little productivity and awful efficiency...

31% TS%
0/5 from three
didn't draw any free throws
3 assists, 2 turnovers, though 2 steals
2 rebounds, 3 personal founds
-4.9 net rating

Grill had a pretty bad night, too, at 1/8 from the field and 0/4 from three with little else in the statline.
Thank goodness Hunter and Brockington were awesome or the Cyclones would have lost that game.
I feel like Brockington is the Hogue we have been waiting for.
Grill looked tentative and frustrated last night on the offensive end.I still like Kalscheur but last night will hopefully be one of his worst games this season.

In terms of toughness, absolutely. Either Chris or Brent called him a better Jake Anderson, and I think that fits, too.
Brockington in transition is a work of art. He’s the first player in a long time where, even when he takes off at half court, I am 100% confident he’ll make the right decision. So refreshing to watch him take it to the rack and draw contact without running the defender over for an easy charge call. I’m starting to get over my fast break PTSD.
