For the most part, we're being cordial. Our program i clearly ahead of theirs so we see no reason to bash them. I just remember every dbag Iowa fan I've ever met and it makes it pretty easy to pile on their pathetic situation. Fran isn't Lick but he isn't much better. That program is in a BIG hole.

Would you say it's a B1G hole? :jimlad:

Don't put too much emphasis on one game when a season is 30+ games. Iowa had a better conference record in a tougher conference; ISU won the head-to-head. Unbiased rankings had the two teams neck-and-neck. It just seems silly to me to act like ISU was far superior to Iowa last season.

-Iowa State beat Iowa at Iowa
-The big 12 was 7-0 against the Big Ten last year, so there goes your tougher conference argument. 6 of which were either a home or neutral court for the big ten I believe.
-ISU was superior to Iowa last year
-Good thing rankings are the end all in how a team competes/plays.

Go root for KU.

They also had KU ranked 3rd. How did that work out? Who gives a crap about a computer ranking after the tournament ? We beat Iowa in their house. We finished with 5 more wins, and they were not nearly as competitive in many of their losses as we were.

I understand your point but the NCAA tournament does not crown the best team in college basketball over the course of a season. I love it, but it's not an accurate measurement.

Was Tennessee superior to Pittsburgh last year? How about Marquette and the National Champions? Was Jacksonville better than Florida?

One game is 3% of the season.

And I agree that the Big 10 was a bit overrated last season, but KenPom/Sagarin/RPI all had them better than the Big 12 overall.

I have no idea what your last point means, but Iowa did beat two tournament teams to ISU's zero.

Those are all based off of rankings at some point though aren't they? If the Big 10 was ranked higher than it deserved, then every team would get a huge boost in those from just playing each other.

When ISU beats Iowa AT CARVER, and wins 5 more games throughout the season, along with being far more competitive in many of the losses, I REALLY DON'T CARE WHAT KENPOM HAS TO SAY.

When it comes right down to it, who cares about last year? Both teams weren't even mediocre.

Speaking of algorithms, can one be used in a web-based app to determine when a thread has been derailed to the point where it should automatically be severed and put into its own thread?

They also lost to some terrible teams. Had they nor beat WIsconsin, the eprception would be totally different.

Wow we have a seriously inflated sense of where this program is at. Iowa sucked. We sucked less but guess what? We still sucked. There is nothing impressive about that nor is it anything to brag about.

Also, you guys realize next year isn't over yet, nor has it even started? There's lots of talk about how great we are. We haven't proven crap and neither has this coaching staff.

Wow, your true colors are really showing lately.

How cool your life must be that you spend all of the time you do on a fansite for a team that you obviously don't feel is worthy of you.

I would say ku's tenuous position with what they have returning has clouded your ability to even come on here and attempt to be a "fan" of Iowa State.

Your acting has become really subpar....

Wow, always love a debate of who sucked less. Honestly, I say its a wash. We beat them head to head but didn't beat any team that would be even considered decent, they did. I think defending either teams season last year is really grasping at straws

Purdue dropped dead at the finish line, proven in both the Big Ten and NCAA tourneys. MSU also proved to be little more than "decent".
Sorry, I'm not buying that an 11 win team with another couple "almosts" is the better team.

Ummm......hate to ruin your little "Johnny Raincloud" thing, but ISU did beat a tourney team, Alabama State. Also, since you clearly think you're some kind of genius when you actually are not, this would be a great site for you....Iowa Hawkeye Football | Basketball | Recruiting | HawkeyeNation.com......

Is anyone claiming Iowa was BETTER than ISU?
