I hate to admit it but I get the feeling CPR will be back next year. I feel like he has already been told so but what are the chances that we have two new coordinators? I know Mangino's contract will be up but not sure about Wally's though. What's everybody's guess?

Like this if you threw up in your mouth from thinking about that possibility.

I would email JP every day if that happened.

2 new coordinators + Paul still equals disaster. I don't care who they are.

Mark Mangino OC for National Champions 2000
Tom Herman OC for National Champions 2014

Yup, Paul just hasn't quite found the right guy to help him with the offense.

Rhoads should get a shot next fall

Defensive line should be a major improvement for ISU next season if they do not have attrition issues. The LB corps needs a big upgrade in talent though.

OL will lose 4 of 5 starters though and the starting QB. That may make it hard to keep up with the Joneses

I hope he isn't back, but the people that call in to the coaches call in show always sound like they love Paul and that he can still turn it around. It drive me nuts listening to it today, because people were saying they still see 4 wins on our schedule.

i hope JP isn't listening and thinking that CPR should come back next year.

This isn't the same Mark Mangino from 2000. On KXNO tonight Chuck Long talked about how Mangino coached at OU and that is nothing like what he is doing now. It is also clear CPR has little to do with the offensive game plan.

There is no way he should get another year.

If CPR is back next year, I think it will be because JP doesn't want to pay the buy out this year. He probably won't have a choice after next year though as his job will be on the line as well.

I'm hoping JP has the financial backing to finish CPRs tenure this year though. We need something new to provide some hope for the future.

I think he knows this is it for him without being directly told by Pollard. Losing to Toledo sealed it. I watch him on the sidelines and call me crazy but he seems disinterested most of the time and gives me the impression that he wants the game to be over with. I can't imagine the ticket sale plunge if he comes back.

Wrong. We return 2 starters on OL (Burton/Campos) and another (Philbert) who plays as much or more than Dagel already.

And there are promising young linebackers out there. Harvey and Northrup are exciting athletes and Jones/Harris/Peters will be Senior leaders. Thought Seonbuchner looked good early before (apparently?) getting injured.
