He was my coach, he is not a detail guy though. Can motivate players to do about anything and knows how to get the most out of everyone though and gets ultimate buy in. I think he is possibly the best coach in Iowa but not necessarily the best O-line specific coach. I think Ferentz hit the lottery early with him.

Wisconsin, Iowa, and Stanford all usually have solid offensive lines. I would say Iowa's coach has a better ability to take a less recruited athlete and turn him into a star. Stanfor generally has some of the best offensive lines. Not sure what kind of stars they recruit though.

Ferentz is not the best coach in the America and neither is Tom Manning. Dabo Swinney is at the moment. Tom Manning is the best NCAA OL coach in the country though

Can't stand Iowa, but how anyone could question their history and reputation for developing o-linemen and putting them in the NFL is beyond me. As they say, Iowa's been there, done that.
