I wonder if Fred and Jeff have some sort of relationship?

That would REALLY make the Hawks mad, which would REALLY make me happy.

There would be a complete meltdown in Iowa City. It would be a solid move, much better than what we had last year.

Must we always insult last year. Let's be happy about what we've got now and enjoy the honeymoon. This will be the only few months where we have an undefeated coach :)

Complete meltdown would be to hire Horner as GA and Tom Davis as an assistant. That, added to the new bar age laws...

So because Horner was a better player than Petersen, he'll be a better coach? I guess Michael Jordan will be the best coach ever.

Thatd be a great pick up...with his understanding of what it takes to be a point guard in big-time d1 bball....he also could help out christopherson because they seem to be of the same mold...

WOW - just WOW! If that were to happen - I have a bunch of co-workers & acquaintances who are hawk alumni &/or fans that would literally "blow a gasket." When the initial rumor broke that Horner would be the GA at Iowa, many of them absolutely LOVED this idea. Now, if JH goes to ISU - I will take much pleasure in asking them their opinions (and watching their reactions)!

Let's all remember a few weeks back when Horner was a "slam dunk" as the GA in Iowa City and that rumor was quickly shown as just that, a rumor.

i was going to post this a couple hrs ago but

figured it would end up in that 50,000 assistant coach thread. This would be the knockout punch to the already stunned and shellshocked Hawk fans.

Don't think you are going to find a graduate assistant with much experience. They are graduate assistants to try to gain some experience. I would be all for this hire, he would be great with helping develop our guard play. Good guards=Wins
