If JB continues to play well rest of the year, does Jantz look pull an Austin Flynn and move to WR next year? Along with Tiller? or do we have too many WR waiting for playing time.

I am curious about Steele's 40yd compared to our WR... same with Tiller. They are both taller than any WR currently playing and have a grasp on the playbook.

Side note, didn't realize Tennehill went from WR to QB, normally it is the other way around.

No. IMO, Jantz is injured and his confidence has eroded from his poor play lately because of that injury. Jared Barnett has rightfully earned the job of starting QB and now Jantz has the opportunity to heal himself and get better and try to win his job back. But if Barnett continues to improve then Jantz will have to accept the job of backup. Unless Barnett plays poorly and Jantz improves his play, I predict that Jared Barnett will be playing QB for a while.

Probably is a bit too soon to post this, but it really isn't stupid by any means.

What if the coaches are very satisfied next season with Barnett, Richardson, and even Rohach?

Jantz is a VERY athletic kid. I seriously think he could make people miss better than most of our current WR's can, as long as he can catch the ball, but since when has catching the ball become a pre-requisite for ISU WR's?

It's obvious to most that Jantz's legs are a much better weapon than his arm probably ever will be. So this post, although a bit premature, is not stupid by any stretch.

This. His foot injury clearly has been affecting his play since the end of the UConn. If he is going to be on the bench, part of the reason will be to get his injury healed.

How do you figure? He wasn't accurate and turned the ball over all the time BEFORE he was injured too. Nothing has really changed at all since his injury. He played like this before he was injured too. But he was able to overcome it.

Yesterday, Paul Rhoads just said "enough is enough already". We just cannot afford to dig ourselves deep holes to start games with stupid turnovers by our QB and live to tell about it.

We aren't playing UNI, Iowa, or UCONN anymore this year. Does anyone really understand just how bad Iowa's defense is? Indiana carved them up yesterday. Hanging your hat on that Iowa win is not hanging it on very much. Iowa would get destroyed with our Big 12 schedule.

I really think Janz's issue is the injury. He can't plant on his bad foot and that causes bad passes. Once he heals, I think he will be the better option on QB. Barnett didn't exactly set the world on fire. He'll be fine but I still think Janz starts at QB next year.

I know there are a lot of "what if's", but what if JB and Steele are even through spring ball? Do you still have Steele play QB for one year or let JB start for 3 and move Steele to WR?

So what is your excuse for all of Jantz's bad passes before the injury?

Seriously people... you act like Jantz was Joe Montana for the first 2 1/2 games this year before he injured his ankle. He wasn't. He was not a good QB before he was injured either.

If Steele is in the top two at QB, then you keep him there. I said that you would only consider moving him somewhere else IF Barnett and Richardson were both ahead of Steele on the depth chart.

Don't assume that either of these two guys will be the starter next year. Sam Richardson will get a chance, too.

We also need a left tackle. Can Steele put on a 100 pounds?

I'm pretty confident Jantz wins the starting job back next year unless Barnett just lights the world on fire the rest of the way. Jantz has the ability to be a far better QB, hes just still growing into it. Plus I also believe Richardson AND Rohach can be better QB's than Barnett. Not to take anything away from him, I actually liked him when we got him and obviously would take him over Tiller. But I think we have some pretty good QB's coming in. All the QB's are going to need some WR's who can catch though. Jantz is a playmaker, he just needs to be more consistent and not turn the ball over. That comes with time in the system and practice. The starting job will be his again.
