I would honestly say the exact opposite. I'd be surprised if Pollard has ever opened a CF message board thread in his life.

I don't see how he has time for Twitter, let alone CF. I would have thought he had some assistant running his Twitter but an assistant obviously wouldn't post this kind of stuff.

Know what's dumber than that? Coming into the thread to complain about the thread complaining about the twitter thing.

C'mon guys, we can keep this chain going! Someone jump on now and complain about me complaining about the guy complaining about the people complaining about Jamie complaining about the guy who may or may not have been complaining at one point, but is no longer complaining, other than now complaining about Jamie complaining.
Got your back 00,

Know what's dumber than that? Coming into the thread to complain about the guy complaining about the thread complaining about the twitter thing.

Jamie shouldn't be alienating any fans or start patting himself on the back too hard. Campbell still hasn't coached a game. A little too early to be taking the victory lap and flipping off the crowd while you do.

Nor should any fan be threatening one's job or financial support because he wasn't blown away about a hire. Works both ways, shouldn't it?

yeah not exactly. While I agree a message board is a public forum it lacks one fundamental aspect of tweeting, being able to tweet @ someone specifically. So not really the same thing.

But we can agree to disagree. I like when my ISU officials stand up for my school.

My god you are such a ******.

Jamie wasn't sticking up for his school. He was alienating a fan who happened to have a change of heart. Not everyone needs to be a sunshine pumper 24/7. Not everyone is going to buy into every move Pollard makes instantly. They have reason not to trust his hires until they see them in action. The guy has 4 season tickets and donates. Clearly he's a big ISU fan.

Jamie needs to stop acting like a 12 year old. There was no need for his response. He should be above this type of crap. He's the face of a major university athletic program. At some point he has to realize that this immaturity isn't getting him anywhere. For every one douchenozzle like you who thinks it's cool there are 10 adults who see it for what it is...immature and totally unnecessary.

Don't most Athletic Directors and department's use twitter solely as a means to relay information, not as a means to directly interact? That seems to be mostly high public individuals/institutions use it. That was my assumption, tagging JP is the equivalent of tagging Ford Motor Company - you're mentioning the institution in your tweet, not expecting a dialogue.

Regardless, public shaming your customers is never a good look. Jamie did the same thing before when someone complained about the football program (through email I think) and JP called him out for not donating.

Seriously? Look at the crap he responds to on Twitter. No clue what makes you think he's never browsed CyFan before. The guy clearly cares about what people are saying. He should be above it, but it's pretty evident he's not.

Oh he's an important one then. JP should have consulted him along with Sage, Bruns, Bergstrom and Kill since he's such a prolific donor.

Give me a f-ing break.

I do love that former kicker Grant Mahony tweeted supporting JP's tweet, lol.

It's so irritating that we sit here and hear JP preach about how loyal and classy a guy like Rhoads is, when there are a boat load of fans on this board and not that have been loyal to Iowa State University long before Rhoads or JP were ever employed by ISU. And then he comes out on twitter and acts like a 12 year old when those same people who support and help pay his salary question his judgement here and there.

I understand blocking people who annoy you, but there's no need to get in twitter spats over things like this as the freaking AD of the University. Ridiculous.

No one is saying he should have consulted him, but as a fan the guy is entitled to his opinion. God forbid he's a little skeptical right now. Any Cyclone football fan with half a brain would be skeptical right now. Name another AD who's going to call out a fan on Twitter simply for sharing his opinion... I'll wait.

Do you know JP? I've never seen him call somebody out who didn't tweet directly at him by tagging his account. We know he reads those.

I would expect Rhoads to read CF before I would expect Pollard. (And neither of them read CF.)

Do you? I'm not the one guaranteeing he's never visited this board. I simply think it's highly likely that he has based upon the way he makes himself look incredibly insecure on social media.

I fully support JP on whatever he wants to say/do. If you think JP should be fired, you shouldn't be an ISU fan. It's as simple as that. You are a complete moron. I have no problem with JP calling out fans who say he should be fired.
