I feel like we got a good 1 in Long!

He ended up with 34pts. Monk had 46.

Long has one of those troll free throw motions. He probably gets a lot of 2nd chances.

Neither can stop the other. Monk too fast for Long (and really almost comically fast for everybody) and Long too big and physical for Monk to defend.

Maybe it's just the fact that he's a lefty, has similar size and doesn't elevate too much when he shoots, but Long's game reminds me of Jalen Rose in that highlight video.

I don't want the CF expectations to get out of whack, though; this is just a simple observation based on nothing more than 3 minutes of highlight footage watched.

Long looks better than I hoped. For some reason, lefties never look as smooth as righties to me. I think I have a hard time training my mind to not expect the ball to come from the other hand and it just throws me off. Long looks like he has the build of a college guard already. He could contribute early, IMO.

Wow, Monk looked like he was going to do whatever he wanted with the ball. It would've been awesome to see him in cardinal and gold.

Both looked great and I'm glad we landed one of them. However, Monk looked crazy good in that video. He's super athletic with some crazy hangtime. Closest comparison for me was Andew Wiggins.
