I saw him wrestle a lot last year. My daughter goes to Johnston high school and wanted me to go to all the duals with her so she could learn and be an informed fan. (Talk about awesome daddy-daughter time!) That said, Jacob is good. Real good. Constant action. He’ll fit in well up in Ames.
I used to know this family years ago. The dad was a huge Pantherhawk, so I get a kick out of his boys going to ISU. 
Jacob had a torn ACL his freshman year and still finished 3rd (138) at state only losing in Tie Breakers 2-1 to Lucas Bruhl.
He was health his sophomore year winning a state title and going undefeated at 152.
Won state again as a Junior at 165 with a torn Labrum (wore a shoulder brace during the season).
Has finished 3rd, 1st & 1st at State with a career record of 117-5.

Torn shoulder and ACL already? Man hope he had world class surgeon. D1 wrestling is not easy on those joints.
I watched him closely at state and was very impressed. Built strong and quick with very fundamental approach that translates well to college. Dominated his HS opponents. It's a big step up at the next level but I predict he will earn his way into the lineup early and have a great career as a Cyclone. I'm very excited about this recruit.

the youngest being the best - taking years of beating from older siblings almost always pays off
Cael is the classic example. David Carr too, although I think his brothers were quite a bit older.
Cyler is actually the youngest Sanderson, but he is quite a bit younger than Cael, Cody, and Cole
IMO it also helped that Cael was bigger (at his age vs brothers) than Cody and Cole because he could wrestle them when he was younger and they could go full throttle against him.
