Anybody know of some place that might actually be showing the vball match in Ames tonight? I know it's on ESPNU but I have a feeling a lot of places won't make the match a priority on their TVs...

I have found bars and restaurants here in Ames are "usually" quite cooperative with changing channels if they are requested.

There will always be ISU people watching it at Wallaby's. And, I can tell you that all of the TV's will be tuned into the VB game.

Agreed.. if we can put so much support behind teams that range from mediocre to downright terrible, we sure as heck should put as much support behind a team that is in the Elite 8!!

I bet West Cyde Wings would put it on. Anything to get people to show up. Last year we had probably 30 people in there to watch the ISU-Minnesota wrestling dual.

Wallaby's put Clone Zone coverage of the VB team's first tournament game on a couple of their screens, so I'm sure they would have tonight's game.

I've never been there. Is it worth showing up?

I like going there. But they don't advertise a lot, and their location (behind Wallaby's) kinda sucks. As a result, the place is rarely full except on big event nights -- BCS, Super Bowl, MMA/UFC.

Prices are decent. Wings are average to slightly above average. They have non-wing fare as well. If you go to ameseats.com, you can get a coupon for "Buy 20 Get 10 Free" -- definitely a must.
