For the sake of Joel's long-term health, I hope he never plays an NFL down at fullback. And yes, I believe the collisions at FB are that much more intense than at MLB.

Agreed. I talked to Jeff Woody once about why he didn't try to make a team as a full back. He said the concussions are just ridiculous, especially for full backs. He's talked a lot about concussions in football so I full understand him not risking his long term health to try for the NFL.

They're poorly paid, too. At least the ones not named Kyle Juszczyk, who got four years and 21 million from the Niners for reasons beyond me.

Is anyone really talking about KCM's chances? We all know his production was solid for many years. Those numbers look pretty good for a safety. 4.62 40yd, 37" vertical. Right behind Joel in the 3-cone drill. Too short?

Looked back at combine results, wow there are some good athletes out there. Lots of 4.4 times with similar or better strength and jumps.

Don't worry, the media may not talk about him much but the NFL teams are all aware of him. At worst case he's a priority free agent, best case Day 3. He's going to be in the NFL.

He'll get a shot. A player as productive as he's been will land in someone's camp. The big thing for him will be staying healthy so he can earn a spot.

Bobeck got injured several weeks before his pro day last year, something with his calf or ankle I believe. I thought Trevor Ryen benched, but did nothing on the field.
