Probably in a gale. Wind used to really howl through that sucker before the end zones were built up.62 by Dave Lawson against Air Force, 1975

Anyone remember Mason Crosby bouncing them off the Jacobson building from like 60 yards away?
Ty Stewart had a cannon on his leg.
That was Lawson of Air Force.. first game at JT (then cyclone stadium) and not an ISU player.....
I was there. Lawson played for AF and it was an awesome kick!
I was told that was the first game in the current stadium. Anyone confirm that?
I know the Ty Stewart one against OSU was in Ames (Cyclone Stadium/Jack Trice Field at the time) and the Missouri one of his was on the road if it was that year. Not sure about the Giffords one.
Mevis 55 yards has to be up there now
Was gonna mention this. A windy game with the wind tunnel that JTS was probably could have produced a 70 yarder with a kicker like Crosby.Anyone remember Mason Crosby bouncing them off the Jacobson building from like 60 yards away?

That was the tornado game.Crosby is the best kicker I've ever seen in person. And yes, I remember them over the Jacobson building.
