No creativity on the offense, to many plays of running Hall into a 8 man front. Its time to make a change and see what happens, when you have the players that ISU has this year in Hall, Kolar and you can not scheme plays to allow them to showcase their talent, you have a problem.

The line has been a weak point the entire year, but we continue to try and run Hall up the middle, instead of getting him to the edge.

How many times did ISU throw it deep today? I get it their was not pocket, but we never threated OU deep, allowing them to walk down the Dbacks into the box.

We were out coached today on the offensive side of the ball, and the only reason we kept it close was the talent of our skilled players.

Has Manning ever heard of a play called the screen pass? You know, to try to get the ball in the hands of our All American RB? AND to keep the defense honest and from constantly bringing pressure straight up the middle?

Also, why can't the coaches tell the QB to mix up the snap count!? OU timed it perfectly nearly all game long.

I'm not defending Manning at all, but I feel like we could go back several years and we were ******** about Iowa State throwing screen passes ;)

While I’m highly negative on the OL and tend to give Manning a pass, if he designed the trick double forward pass play, then my oh my.

My top three stupid play calls from today:

1. Trying to run a halfback pass late in the game on 3 and 2. - JUST GIVE IT TO BREECE STRAIGHT AHEAD and get the 1st down
2. Running a fade route to Sean Shaw on 3rd down at the end - KEEP TRHOWING TO THE TE's
3. The pass pass - WHO IS THE MORON WHO DESIGNED THIS PLAY WITHOUT KNOWING A BASIC Fing RULE

I’m still not sure what game some of you guys watch. The play calling today was pretty good. There is only so much you can do when your line is as bad as ours is this year. We can’t run because a Breece gets hit in the backfield every time. We can’t pass because Brock is running for his life. We also can’t run a screen because that gets blown up too. I don’t think anyone has been happy with our offense this year but that starts with having competent o-line play.

Well past time. He's had enough time to prove if he's up to the task. Don't chime in about record productive seasons. The bar is pretty low there.

When we run Breece with defined attack points we are running the ball well

When we run Breece with the shuffle shuffle try to find a hole it hasn't worked in a long time

That gets frustrating

Here's what I think. I don't know nearly enough to know if Manning is good. Sometimes he seems to be great. Sometimes I want him to be fired on the spot.

But I do know that Campbell isn't afraid of making a move if he thinks he should. It is just not going to be made today.

Thanks for that great analysis, Tom. Enjoy hitch-hiking back from Norman.

We had two drives killed on terribly designed and timed trick plays. That hurt us badly.

having a competent OL is also dependent on having a competent game plan. If screens don't work with a weak offensive line no one would run screens and draws because they are literally the thing you do with a weak OL.

No part of the play-calling or very little was good.

Even when Dekkers gets in. What do a lot of play-callers do with a young quarterback? Move the pocket, give him a half field hi-low read and get him away from the pressure.

What do we do? Have him drop straight back. Of course we rarely if ever changed the pocket to help Purdy out either.

You have an interior defensive linemen busting a** upfield? Run a trap. Been around since a little thing I call oxygen.

We don't help them at all. Hufford was absolutely brutal but in his defense other than having Chase Allen chip - we did nothing to help him.

Win in the margins & it's a '1-2 plays having different outcomes' differential', yet here we're are bringing up 7+ decisions/plays.
Indicator = coaching
