Too many turnovers to compete at Phog. Final KU 90, ISU 70. It isn't as close as the score would suggest-- KU by 15 10-minutes into the game.

KU will guard the perimeter like crazy and dare us to drive on Withey, so a bad shooting night too boot. I think this is a terrible matchup for ISU due to Withey. Maybe Fred will try to get him in foul trouble early - has he guarded any left-handers?

I would like to think that they would protect the basketball and not commit those dumb turnovers, and it could be close. But that would be the triumph of hope over experience so far this year.

I am afraid they will play like I wish we did. They will pressure the ball all over the court, making it hard for us to even get in any type of offense. We will probably end up shooting a lot of 3's late in the shot clock, missing, and leading to fast breaks for them.

We need to be super aggressive against their defense and take it to the hoop. But the key will be either drawing Withey out then dishing it off, or pulling up for the short jump shot. You know that if we get all the way to the basket, either Withey will block it or the refs will call about 9 charging fouls on us.

The refs alway allow them to get away with murder down there..have to be ready for it.

It won't be as bad as some of you think, but they will still be too much for us at home.

Like I said, I think it will be Kansas by 30. I would love to be wrong, but I think it will be similar to what Michigan did to Iowa today......might be close for a while.....then Kansas will just blow ISU out.

I just don't see who ISU has to match up with Releford, McLemore or Withey, not to mention Johnson and Young. As a team, KU shoots over 50 percent from the field, and nearly 38 percent from 3 point range. I don't see how ISU defends against that although I hope I am wrong.

On top of all that ....it is the Big 12 opener for both teams. Both will be out to make a statement, but I fear it will be Kansas that will prevail.

If we shoot 70%, we might win....

I agree Wes, if we shoot 70% every game we can win the national champeenship and bring that big fat trophy back to Ames IA where it belongs!

KU will win this game in a runaway.

What's the over/under on how many turnovers Lucious will have against KU? I'd put it at 7.
