Problem has solved according to some guys on Reddit. They called Dish and they said issues have been worked out to carry BTN this Saturday and for the season.
The main reason not to call and complain is because nobody made you pick Dish Network in the first place. Except maybe your wife. It's not the service a choice for anyone serious about watching sports. You order the ladies satellite service, you get what you get for sports. Besides, who would you call, Jim Delany?
:twitcy:
Aside from this, what else would dish not have? I know from the last basketball season that I would have gotten several more ISU games than I got with cable. Now that Sunday ticket is available for all, I don't really see the sports benefit of other providers.
I am looking at dish just because of the superior equipment and easier to use guide. If I am missing something that DTV offers then I might re-evaluate.
Sunday Ticket is most certainly not available on Dish or cable. Are you confusing Sunday Ticket with the Red Zone channel?
Coming from someone who has had both Dish and Direct in the past 5 years, I will never use Direct again. I really don't care about pro sports, so while Direct TV has a slight (and becoming less so all the time) edge there, Dish has better college sports coverage in my experience.
Most of all, I love the way Dish is willing to fight the channels like BTN, AMC and Fox Sports (a couple years back). They keep my prices low and still provide superior (IMO) service and equipment.

Ah, I thought that changed. I guess that shows how much I watch the NFL. So, let me rephrase my question. For someone that mostly watches college sports, is there really a disadvantage to dish? I never really get too excited in the NFL since I can't waste both days of the weekend watching football (so my wife tells me).
