New football uniforms look sharp. I love more white in the cardinal jerseys, and I actually like the school name on the front this time around too. Looks better than the CPR era. I also really don't miss the pant stripes from that era either.

Definite upgrade. The white's were the only ones from the previous set I didn't grow tired of the last few years. These feel classic and fresh. 7/10 football uniform!

The throwbacks with the 49ers gold from the Phillip Bates Iowa game were the best uniforms we've ever had.

My bad. I originally read your post as "white helmet, red jersey, red pants." I love that look. Sadly we've only used it twice.

This is the gold we should use. I don’t like the 49ers because they are more tan than gold. These are the best versions of gold.

That's a nice gold for sure

One other problem with a "traditional" or "metallic" gold: if you're annoyed by the cardinal helmet & jersey not matching, take a look at teams with gold helmets & "matching" pants...

Heck, GA Tech gave up & purposefully applied three different golds to their uniforms

I have a signed, game worn helmet from that 2007 throwback game. Those were unique.

Field goal with 1 second left to take the lead/win 15-13. That was the "field goal game".

Do the Chiefs look Ronald Mcdonaldish? Do Chiefs fans talk about that all of the time or is just our little brother syndrome that makes us do that?

No but that red/yellow/yellow combo from a few years ago was Ronald McDonald in pads.

No and it's moot anyway since ISU has never had a 'look' consistently.

But flat out yellow and makes me almost smell mustard.

I think it went out with the Walden era but was the standard consistent look for I think about 15-20 years prior.

Our colors should be what the shoulder stripes are in the photo above…. perfect!

We needed to go a shade darker on the cardinal and gold from the previous uniforms…. and instead it looks like we went a shade brighter and now look like McDonald’s again. And the jersey is now a lot brighter cardinal than the helmets.

Yes, the Chiefs look like McDonald’s…. they are awful uniforms.

These are a significant downgrade. We finally had good uniforms even if they could use some tweaks but we went back to absolute crap.

Seriously compare the two. We went from something moderately unique to something super standard. Aside from that the execution was just bad. They didn’t solve the issues with the existing set and made some pretty baffling decisions.

Hopefully it is just the images but it appears they have gone back to ketchup and mustard colors. The stripes on the red uniforms are downright bad. They also didn’t even fix the biggest issue which was the lack of cardinal or gold on the black uniforms.

Changing the ugly big yellow numbers was the biggest issue. Issue solved.

I wouldn't doubt if we saw some of those this year. This reveal was our standard uniform, not a special release. Changing helmet decals is pretty easy, and we've seen a lot more retro Cys in official gear.

I think it's the worst of the bunch. I don't think it helps that Onyedim is modeling it because he's huge, and 11 looks weird on a guy that big. But with the new white numbers and white stripes, the white pants and white helmet overwhelm the cardinal. It looks OK, but not as good as C/C/W in my opinion.
