Just tie it in to our original colors of black, silver and gold somehow and make it an historical reference to our beginnings. Easy marketing slam dunk 101. Add a hint of silver and add a hint of metallic gold and call them Day Ones or something
I get what you're saying but no one and I mean no one cares that our first school colors were black, gold, and silver, and no one in today's world knows Iowa State that way.....they know we are cardinal and gold.....and it seems like we actively try to go away from our branding

that's fair, but it at least would have a reference point

I don't care for these.......these would be spectacular with a walking Cy logo or the vintage tornado logo on the helmet.......I know it's been shared on here and amongst other platforms thousands of times, but we have such great

Related—does anyone really care about our vintage logos that you are talking about on the previous post?

Totally agree with you, but I am assuming that the players are most interested in the black/white uniforms and most likely do not care that much for anything vintage. Seems most folks interested in all the vintage logos who post here ( I am one of them, by the way--1988 ISU graduate) are not all that young.

I go to ISU currently and I see more 90’s clonenado apparel walking to classes than the current logo, our parents went to school when that logo was popular so we have their shirts and hoodies, and everyone I know wants it back

The previous all black unis looked good because they were all black with just white numbers. Now there is too much white on it, doesn't work for me personally. They somehow look cheaper with generic stripes on the shoulders.
Yes, agree. And I miss the complexity and temper of the gray/silver, vs. the all white.

Interesting new potential name for the Cyclone/Orrnado! I keep wondering what to call it. This might be it? Another might be Cynado, which might make more sense?

Either way, bring it back.
