These are fine but would rather them go all whte uniform using the cardinal & gold colors instead of black. Don't think they have gone all white for a season or two now.
They have gone winless going all white for several years now. If Matt is superstitious, I can see why he might avoid that combo.

Did they change the rule on knee pads and pants covering knees?

A couple years ago they were throwing penalties all the time for short pants.

Now they are everywhere. Everything I look up still shows the rule on the books. But most of what I found is from rule books a couple years old.

Anyone know for sure?

I don’t think anything has changed other than they decided “why should we care”?

Outside of this board I have never seen anyone bring up the length of pants before

The topic used to be brought up in the locker room during pregame and during pregame on field routines by the referees. Almost as a “professional reminder.”

Oh I have, quite often. A few years ago it was a regular discussion even during broadcasts, because they were flagging it.

But not really much last couple years, although I see comments on social media sometimes about them.

Knee pads aren't doing much anyways. I wore volleyball knee pads in high school but I played on the line. That's about the only position I think that needs them.

The previous all black unis looked good because they were all black with just white numbers. Now there is too much white on it, doesn't work for me personally. They somehow look cheaper with generic stripes on the shoulders.

I understand that, but I just was curious why it is all the sudden ok, when a couple years ago they were making a big deal about them. Did they change the rule? If not what changed that they decided to ignore that rule?

The black needs to go already.

A gimmick way past its expiration date.
Just tie it in to our original colors of black, silver and gold somehow and make it an historical reference to our beginnings. Easy marketing slam dunk 101. Add a hint of silver and add a hint of metallic gold and call them Day Ones or something
