Iowa State @ Iowa Point Spread

The road games are a different story but there is NO REASON Iowa State shouldn't have been favored by a few points in 1999 & 2001.

Maybe Hawkeye bettors are an irrational group (really!) and always bet on Iowa. That being the case, why would the bookie give them points by making us the favorite?

Like you said, it's more a function of balancing the money than predicting the outcome.

I believe we've beat the spread every game so far? If so, and the spread is 10 or less, I feel good about our odds...However it is Iowa's Superbowl.

Here is an interesting factoid for you...in the last 25 ISU/Iowa games (15 straight Hawkeye wins, then 7/10 ISU wins)...Iowa has been favored at kick-off in EVERY GAME. Even during our 5 game win streak we were never a favorite vs. Iowa. That goes to show you the respect level. I expect Iowa -9 to -11 point spread this weekend.

ISU was a 3.5 point favorite in 1999 (17-10 win) and a 3 point favorite in 2000 (24-14 win), but has been a Vegas underdog every year since. ISU is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings, with 2003 being the lone exception.

Also, in the last 10 meetings, four have been "under", two "over", with four others that I can't find an O/U line for.

I stand corrected...I was searching for a source but couldn't find one for the life of me. I would have swore we were dogs in both those years but I was wrong. Not the first or last time that'll happen! Some rep for you for finding that!

They normally don't put out a money line if it's higher than 10, but you can always call for a money line...although you normally have to bet something higher than the house minimum for a bet like that...

I'm not sure a money line is available for point spreads bigger than 10.

Approximately:
For a -7 spread, the dog pays 2.5
for -9, 3
for -10, 3.25.

I'm sure Las Vegas knows the history of this series and will "cheat" the spread a little towards us.

Mark my words, Iowa by at least 12, but probably right at 14. Iowa -14. Clones will be a lock!

I didnt know you could bet with EBT cards and money made making license plates.......

I heard they use their foodstamps to buy those big plastic jugs of water, which have a large deposit on them. Then they take the jug outside, dump the water in the parking lot, and return the jug for the deposit which is cash to spend on decongestant, drain cleaner, etc.

Dude did you not see them score 42 points against Florida International University yesterday. Their new QB Stanzi is the s hit!!! All Big 10 caliber

Yeah, FIU would fit right in in the Big 10. Maybe you mean all-CIML caliber.
