It depends if we are going to get after it or not. And by that I mean, THROW THE DAMN BALL!

People were worried after we struggled with Illinois State and Iowa beat Ball State 56-0 last year.

23-3

I think it depends on if Tate plays...Manson played AWFUL against Syracuse. If it's Manson I think we have a chance but loose 24-20. If its Tate I think we lose 45-20...I don't think you can expect us to beat Iowa after slipping by UNLV and Toledo...especially after making Toledo's QB and UNLV's BACKUP QB look like Heisman candidates.

How can you say that when Iowa struggled to beat Syracuse? Syracuse is not better than UNLV or Toledo. I actually think Toledo could beat both of them. And sure, Iowa didn't have Tate but nothing about their game looked good (except their goal line defense in overtime).

It's shocking to see how badly Iowa plays without Drew Tate. Regardless of Tate, if they can't put away a bad, bad 'Cuse team, then ISU will win this one in another close one.

33-28 ISU, 33 being the awkward continuation of poor special teams play.

Iowa gets a late saftey after ISU first string has been taken out of the game. After the game, Blythe is Big 12 player of the week, (with 5 TD cathes)

Weird...I am a HUGE Cyclone fan with season tickets living in an over populated Iowa Fan area (Cedar Rapids) and all I've heard about for the last 2 weeks at work is how much we suck cause it took 3 overtimes to beat Toldeo(who finished 26 last year)...Got to work this morning and no peep about this Saturdays game...in fact I haven't heard any mention of Iowa's game yesterday at all....ooohh ya...2 OTs against a 1-10 Syracuse team...PS thanks to the athletic dept for putting up the Cyclone State billboard along 380...Makes my drive to work a bit less unbearable!

Tate should know to stay away for manjuice the night before the game and upset his poor little tummy. He can play with his pillowbiters on Sundays.

Tate is going to play. He has a week to get better and if he was healthy enought to dress yesterday, then you know he will be back by next saturday. Plus the fact that Tate and the rest of Iowa want revenge for last year.

I worry about playing on the road. We have played our 1st 2 games at home and haven't looked overly impressive. Meanwhile, Iowa went on the road and pulled out a V w/ their starting QB on the bench. It was Syracuse mind you but still a W on the road. You know Tate will be back for us. Just don't have a good feeling. 24-21 we lose. Did I mention when I usually pick Iowa we win ;-)

Everyone but Blythe will kill Iowa. I think ISU will use him a decoy mostly. I believe Iowa plays mostly zone on D, ISU will probably throw several bombs to RJ or Davis. Maybe a deep fly pattern by Nickel or Barkema. I dont see Hicks getting more than 60 yards, but theyll run it anyway. If they dont get pressure on Meyer he should be able to pick em apart.

Hope that Scott Chandler doesn't get to see Toledo game tape. Chandler is probably iowa's best receiver, and he and Tate are capable of ripping up the middle of our field like #91 from Toledo did. Iowa State mounts a valiant charge in the end of the 3rd to come back from a 10 pt defecit to win by 3. 23 - 20.

Iowa looked bad yesterday becuase Manson is HORRIBLE absolutely HORRIBLE. He tossed four Ints and another 2 passes were dropped by the Orange DB so he should have had 6 Ints. He tripped over the center. Looked real shakey most of the time blew plays..just completely dragged the entire team down with his play.If Tate is back it is a different game.

After seeing TOLEDO got absolutely destroyed by western michigan (a bad WMU team too they lost to indiana). I am thinking ISU's defense is worse than expected. I have a feeling that tate was held out for IOwa and Iowas players mustve been looking ahead to ISU.

Iowa 28 ISU 17

If manson is the QB ISU 35 IOWA 10( yes manson is bad enough to set ISU up for Touchdowns..he just $ucks)

This is the game where the offense finally clicks. For example, getting Blythe the damn ball. The Cyclones get up for this game and this year will be no different. I believe this will be the game that really puts Bret Meyer in the spotlight. Tate plays ineffectively, but Chandler has a big day. Iowa's running game and Albert Young have been struggling. We have a shot, a good shot and I believe when the smoke clears it will be 7 of 9

Did anyone hear that Toledo was smashed 31-10? They lost to Western Michigan in their conference, first time since 2000. They made mistakes on missed fieldgoal, 92 yard pass interception. Cllint Magic Man Cochran was 18 for 30 and passed for 218 yards, fumbled twice, two intereceptions (92 wrong way) and four sacks. Guess he will not be an All American. Four turnovers for the losers. And Hopkins caught 4 passes for 100 yards.
