My son put his rain boots on this morning. I said you know on the farm those are call **** kickers. Did any one else call them that?
I thought it said Iowa Farm Slayings.I thought the thread was about "Iowa Farm Savings."
Whenever someone from my family complained about the smell of manure as a kid my grandpa would say “that’s the smell of money.”I was often told "you smell like money," in town, at the local tavern for lunch. : )
My bad. Obviously I meant dinner. And in the evening we had supper.I was often told "you smell like money," in town, at the local tavern for lunch. : )

Lol yep. Breakfast, dinner, supper. Got some grief for that occasionally after going to college. My bad. Obviously I meant dinner. And in the evening we had supper.
Yep. I could have added lunches in there, which varied somewhat, depending on the farmer.6am - breakfast
9:30 - lunch
noon - dinner
3pm - lunch
6pm - supper
And lunch would often consist of half a sandwich and some baked good. I'm amazed I wasn't 800 lbs.
Very perceptive on your part. One of the advantages of raising and being around many kinds of livestock is the ability to make fine distinctions, and to be precise when around different kinds of nonsense or untruths.Till I was about 9 I got consistently confused why sometimes when we passed a farm I would say smells like money and half the time my dad would agree and have the time he wouldn’t but never said why. The times he wouldn’t was because we went passed a dairy or cattle’s lot.
