2A Semifinalist = Western Christian of Hull
2A Quarterfinalist = Unity Christian of Orange City
3A Quarterfinalist = MOC Floyd Valley (Orange City)

All in Sioux County. Lots of tall Dutch kids in the area.

Man, we played Boyden Hull a couple times when I was in high school and their entire starting lineup was 6'2" or taller. Absolutely brutal for 1A hoops.

You forgot lake mills and north Union for 1A.
I didn't consider Lake Mills west and, well, what do you know. All this time I never knew North Union was in Armstrong. My days in Emmet County must predate that iteration of the school, when it was Armstrong-Ringsted.

3A is ok at the top but pretty weak beyond those top several teams. Losing Norwalk and DCG to 4A softened things up a bit.

Waverly-Shell Rock and Pella headed to OT at 57-57.

Largest margin either way in the entire second half was 4 points.

I didn't realize DCG was at the highest level. I was thinking they were still the next level down.

What difference does Saturday make? Shoot, they probably served Valley and Dowling and that was it.
You would be surprised by the number of families leaving on spring break as early as today when spring break isn't until next week.

The schools and the IAHSAA made the decision; it wasn't a knee-jerk reaction by the IAHSAA to change it to appease a group of parents at a few schools.

Does the Cram kid from Bondurant not play basketball anymore? I seem to remember him being a good basketball player but don't see any stats for him.

This is the last year of media rights for IHSSN. Bunch of lawsuits going on. Contact the IHSAA to get these games back on PBS where they belong.

Hoops was never on PBS.

Wrestling was, but only until about 2002. Football was, briefly in the 70s/80s.

Lot of folks don't understand that most of the major changes for state tournaments start with the schools.

For example, I guarantee the Association isn't thrilled about having four different qualifying formulas for football depending on which class you're in, but that's what the coaches wanted so here we are.
