I would take a modern, loud and close feeling stadium than something like Penn State that looks like the boone county speedway and holds 110,000 people.

I agree, baseball learned this, I think the NBA is learning this the hard way. MLS has tried to do it, the NFL is doing it, for ****** sake The Bears would have ticket demand for a 100k stadium, but yet they play in a 65,000 seat stadium. Smaller is better, it improves fan experience, and if you go through a winning drought you are stuck with 40,000 seats you can't sell.

It's a beautiful looking stadium, but I'm baffled that there is only seating for 45,000 with a future expansion plan to get to 55,000. I know that Baylor is probably the 4th most popular team in Texas (Texas, TAMU, Texas Tech), maybe even 5th behind TCU, but wouldn't you figure they want to bring capacity up to at least 65,000+?

They're not popular. They don't have many fans.

The capacity is actually fairly large when you compare it to a lot of the other private schools like Vanderbilt, Northwestern, and Duke.

Being a religious school, the Baylor stadium will not have the Bunny Club for recruits like Alabama does.

left off the 71-7 on the scoreboard.

Also, thanks to those w/o little man syndrome for the nice comments. It's not perfect but it' a hell of a lot better than what we had. Fanbase is improving but still a long way to go after decades of crap. Those who "tried" to tailgate 3-6-10 years ago would have a much different opinion now. Doubt we'll ever reach say an iowa state level, but it's not bad for a little baptist school.
