Pasquale's was great when I was a kid. Had a couple last year and they were gross.I like Pasquale’s quite a bit.
Screaming Sicilian is really good.
I had a Outsiders Detroit style pizza that was really good.
Went to Valley West Hy-vee today to get some. None in site. Checked end caps too.Anyone stocking up on Frozen Blums today for the holiday?
Just had one.Anyone stocking up on Frozen Blums today for the holiday?
I've been away from Ames for years and still have a soft spot for Great Plains. My family and I stop there whenever we go back to campus (sometimes when we are passing through on I-35). The oat crust with honey is outstanding. As a college kid growing up in Iowa I freaking loved Great Plains but as an adult having traveled and lived around the world I'm not sure I could go back to it. I'm guessing I would try Pizza Pit or some new place if I was back in Ames looking for local pizza (or even pick one up from Casey's now that that's "exotic" from living far away). From my memory Great Plaines is just more cheese than this aging guy would want to tackle, the thick crust wouldn't bother me so much.
Tried a Pasquales breakfast one last weekend.Pasquale's was great when I was a kid. Had a couple last year and they were gross.
100%.I third the Brew Pub Lotzza Motzza. Had those for the first time last month and they're pretty darn tasty for a frozen pizza. Great on the grill too.
I'm still a sucker for the Totino's Party Pizzas. Especially the Canadian bacon and the Mexican when it comes out for a limited time.
Yep, exactly. I don't know what happened for them to go from being really good to being barely edible.Tried a Pasquales breakfast one last weekend.
You put it in then turn on the oven, which i thought was weird. Toppings were completely cooked and the crust was barely past raw.
