Then why should not....

Kansas 10-0 be ranked #1

Hawaii 9-0 be ramked #2

If we are all Division 1, should it be a sports writers popularity contest (BCS) or if you are undeafeated in Divison 1 with a Division 1 schedule, should you not be at the top of the polls....?

Serious Question...?

I understand the argument with Kansas, but Hawaii doesn't deserve anything more than they are getting IMO. To say they have played a division 1 schedule would be kind. Kansas atleast plays in a good major conference and has passed all their tests so far. I really believe KU controls their own destiny whether they play for a national title or not and in the second week of November that's really all you can ask for.

I would agree. Hawaii really has played no one, but Kansas needs to be getting more props than they are. I would love to knock out a #1 :).

If college football has taught us anything it is that anybody can beat anybody....

ask Utah, Boise State...or maybe Michigan and Notre Dame for that matter...?

It remains a popularity contest otherwise....?

Hawaii is a paradox. You can fault them for not playing anybody, but can you fault them for not playing anybody? Their conference is their conference, I am sure they would like to play more talented teams, but as it is they have done what has been asked of them. It is quite possible that they will be the only undefeated team.

Would you honestly want to see Hawaii play LSU in a national championship game? Do you really think they wouldn't get absolutely crushed?

There are some really good points about the issue you are talking about in the Georgia/Ohio State thread. I agree with you.

If Hawaii wins, Washington would be 4-9 and not as good as the Hawks.

HAWAII strength of schedule would drop. The computer rankings may drop with a win. They are not big game challenged. They should have scheduled Notre Dame and Duke instead.

Then move them to a different division...? They played the required schedule to quailify them as a D1 school, the BCS is just a POPULARITY contest.

The most interesting bowl game in the last decade was Boise State vs Oklahoma....?

Hawaii (IMHO) deserves a shot....if they win.
