Moving our son from Ames to DSM on Saturday and a Grandview game to go to. I doubt I will get to hear much or even see of the game. Will keep the phone handy to check on scores.
I just get a hissing sound with this snowy picture when I try to turn on my TV. Any tips on how I can get ESPN+ working?

I love NHL, you should try it. It is actually my 3rd favorite pro sport. My rankings just for funLOL are those sports?
I mean, yes you should replace a 13 year old TV. IMO you should ignore whatever apps/smart TV stuff that's bundled with the TV and buy a new Roku/Fire TV stick. Like it or not, planned obsolescence is a thing in consumer electronics. From my seat as an engineer I get why. This thread was a good reminder that I should probably upgrade my Roku Stick down in my basement TV. I don't use that TV as much, but when I do, it is really slow. Should I invest in a newer Roku Stick or Roku express? The TV is a 37" 2008 LG - LCD tv so I might be better off just upgrading that.
A roku was my answer on my tv installed it yesterday and signed up for ESPN plusI think you identified your own problem. A firestick or roku would solve your problem.

1. NFL
2. NBA
3. NHL
4. MLB
I just need them to get more NBA coverage now. I have been tempted to purchase League Pass but will probably wait til the price drops later in the season. Mainly just want to get it to watch ISU guys, Kings games for Tyrese especially are rarely televised.ESPN+ for an NHL fan is a flipping gift. We were paying for NHL Center Ice or whatever they call that package
Now for a few bucks a month we get a ton of hockey.

I'd buy more TV upgrades if it was easy to get rid of the old ones, can't just trash them, have to find an electronics recycler, been letting them build up in attic, running out of space. Guess I'll have to find one, hopefully somewhere in Iowa, so I don't have to burn to much carbon to get rid of my TVs.I mean, yes you should replace a 13 year old TV. Definitely a problem. I have a 36" Sharp LCD from 2007 I've lugged around since college sitting in a spare bedroom. Kudos for wanting to dispose of it responsibly.I'd buy more TV upgrades if it was easy to get rid of the old ones, can't just trash them, have to find an electronics recycler, been letting them build up in attic, running out of space. Its like $5/month and you get all their steaming content plus extra online content online. My god. Put 1 gallon less of gas in your car this month. Not to mention you can get it included in multiple package deals including Hulu+, Disney+, verizon etc.
I hope this is a troll job, because if you havent heard of all the stand alone streaming channels from all the networks that are not on any other services you have to be living under a rock.
I mean so many Networks have streaming only channels now including Discovery, ESPN, Disney, HBO, CBS, Apple, and many more. And none of these channels are available on DirecTV, DishNet, or cable, They are stand alone subs that cost about $5 +/-.
And most if not all are able to stream on most smart devices and tvs.
No worries, you can check the box score in the Register on Sun.!Moving our son from Ames to DSM on Saturday and a Grandview game to go to. I doubt I will get to hear much or even see of the game. Will keep the phone handy to check on scores.
Pro Tip: For those who live in Iowa without an antenna, cable, and the Internet, the box score should be printed in the sports section of your local newspaper that delivers the morning after a game (as long as the kickoff time was before 6pm the night before).
