Don't know about next week, but wouldn't be surprised if they are gone after the OU game.

Of course they won't. It takes a lot more than that for a team that has been ranked for 3 years to fall out of the top 25.

Our fans need to act like we've been here before.

Who cares? it's going to take some time for this team to find itself.
The top 5 stuff is fun and all but it doesn't mean ANYTHING. Tonight was a step forward, not back. We NEED adversity.

They went from #2 to #9 (not to mention Paige didn't play at all)

North Carolina dropped from #1 to #9 in the AP Top 25 in the #3 poll and from the #1 spot to #8 in the Coaches poll after their loss at UNI.

It will help a little that other high ranked teams dropped mostly only game this week. The Cyclones had several opportunities that didn't work out in the final seconds of the game. You won't see them make that many boo boos often in that situation.

It seems most colleges go for the highest ranked players around the globe. ISU didn't play that badly tonight but the Panthers shot lights out from three and they did it with 6 of their 8 players being from lowly Iowa and 2 from Wisconsin.

Some of you have lost it...lost it. We will not drop that far. Voters know that UNI also beat UNC so it won't be a shock....Neutral court....and a lot of teams lost. Duke lost...ky lost...Baylor is getting destroyed... I think UNI will get ranked actually...they should. How many teams have beaten 2 top 5 teams in non conf? I think we will be 8-11. It's our first loss. We've been in the top 10 all year...it's not like one loss is going to side to drop us more than 10 spots.

Any voter that watched Matt Thomas's scoring attempt at about 1:30, George's sit down, and Monte's air tear will put us at about 15....but I think we will end up at 12 or 13. Naz news will fuel this drop.....that's all these jock sniffers do all day is read sports quips and reports and try to put their wonk mojo to it. Even with Naz, this is a lower top 20 team.....not bad and we should be happy as a fan base. We are not top 10.
I wish UNI the best.....I think I may actually follow them as much as our team...they have a better shot at a deep March run that we do. They will get a sweet 4 seed.....We will get a 9 seed and play Louisville or some such in first round with Duke as the reward after that.

What an idiot...

I'm calling it right now. We lose to Cincy, sleepwalk the next game, and lose by 15+ against OU. After that we will be unranked.

Sorry fellas, we're not UNC. If they fell 8 slots, we'll drop a dozen or so. We're ISU, I'm guessing 13.

This.

We always fall 1.5 to 2 times further than blue blood media darlings. And take way longer to move back up. We will not be top 10 the rest of the year minus something crazy like a win at OU or KU. Mark it down.
