Or using the break on said scooter without wearing shoes. LittleWx recently did that on his Razor scooter and I instinctively yelled out "no!" and he looked at me like I am crazy. Of course it is all plastic now so the heat transfer from the friction is much different.
Guys, guys...I was actually talking about knee scooters.
Gotta tell ya, those things really FLY on the outer concourse at Hilton. :D

ha I had one after my ankle surgery back in February. Best part was my dr/surgeon is a close family friend and mother of our middle childs best friend. The day after the surgery our daughters had a concert as school and on the way out I went flying down a handicap ramp and across a partially icy parking lot to my handicap parking spot. I was told she was told afterwards she was ready to yell at me if I fell over.

How I now picture Stormy...

t24.jpg
That was me one morning about 12-15 years ago. I walked into work, through an old section of the manufacturing plant. An old wood post had a metal sign installed at 5' 11.75" height. I am 6'0" tall. The edge of the metal sign just cut a groove right down my scalp. Hurt like crazy, but I just continued on into my office area. As I was walking to my desk, my boss looks over and starts yelling. Evidently, my scalp was just pumping blood and my entire hair was bloody and it was just getting to the point it dripped down onto my shirt.
I rinsed my hair in a sink, put pressure for a few minutes to stop the bleeding. I did go home (only 2 miles away) and changed into a new shirt and back to work. By the time I got back, they had already removed that sign.

This story leaves me in a quandry on how to respond.

It was dumb that they had the sign hung at that height but you'll think I am dumbing your story.
I dislike that you got hurt but you'll think I'm disliking your good story.
I could friendly your story, but you were so cool in it you clearly don't want that attention.
I could like it but I don't want you to think I like you getting hurt.
If I laugh at it I am clearly a psychopath...

...you get the picture.

It's crazy how much head wounds bleed...all that capillary action and a very thin layer of tissue over the skull...
