my two boys were able to figure out the child safety lock on the cabinet that had our household cleaners in it. I walked in on them dumping out a bottle of Windex on the floor and the two-year old was spraying himself into his shirt with Clorox Clean-up. Luckily, I found a second child safety lock (different type) to put on the cabinet. We will see how long it takes before they figure out how to open that one.

Playing thread catch up this evening and this made me LOL. Since they weren't drinking the fluids (thankfully!) and just making a mess it seemed okay to laugh.

My experience with kids visiting earlier in the week was not so funny. Might end up being an expense repair for Uncle Boxster.

Dang it was nice till noon, but dang it is still muggy at 10pm only the strong south wind is keeping it semi decent. I'm afraid the next few days are going to be miserable.

Yeah, temps look bad for a stretch here. The weather doesn't know what to do this year. I am not conditioned for this heat so I hope to get a good 8 hours in before noon and it gets too hot. Thank goodness for flood lights and good headlamps. I have to remember to keep drinking water which I am bad at.

Cut down my magnolia street yesterday late afternoon. Been fighting the infestation of scale on it for years and I had just had enough to them covering everything under the tree with gooey sticky "honeydew", which is actually scale crap. Figured I could get it cut up and into bags and bundles for Monday AM pickup. Mostly done, bit more cutting the big trunk bits into four foot lengths. DND from heat but did completely sweat soak all of the clothes I was wearing.

Need to pop out and maybe hit that final cutting cutting....the index is only 90 and will be 107 later.

Fireworks tents are springing up all over the place. If we don't get any rain it could be real dangerous come 4th of July weekend

It was my mom's birthday earlier this week, family supper was fried chicken, potato salad, watermelon, cantaloupe, and cherry pie for dessert. It was a darn good meal. For lunch I made her a batch of tapioca, she likes it but isn't patient enough to make it. :)

Trying to get my family to play cards or anything is harder than pulling out Excalibur. I've been trying for years and I even said my gf likes to play euchre and still couldn't get a game going last night.
