Obviously wasn’t one that concerned me or else the wife would have called me before 10 to tell me I had to fix it.Naturally they select the hottest day of the year

my two boys were able to figure out the child safety lock on the cabinet that had our household cleaners in it. I walked in on them dumping out a bottle of Windex on the floor and the two-year old was spraying himself into his shirt with Clorox Clean-up. Luckily, I found a second child safety lock (different type) to put on the cabinet. We will see how long it takes before they figure out how to open that one.
Oops what got broke?Playing thread catch up this evening and this made me LOL. Since they weren't drinking the fluids (thankfully!) and just making a mess it seemed okay to laugh.
My experience with kids visiting earlier in the week was not so funny. Might end up being an expense repair for Uncle Boxster.
Yeah, temps look bad for a stretch here. The weather doesn't know what to do this year. I am not conditioned for this heat so I hope to get a good 8 hours in before noon and it gets too hot. Thank goodness for flood lights and good headlamps. I have to remember to keep drinking water which I am bad at.Dang it was nice till noon, but dang it is still muggy at 10pm only the strong south wind is keeping it semi decent. I'm afraid the next few days are going to be miserable.
We are plenty wet in the north. You can have our rain.Fireworks tents are springing up all over the place. If we don't get any rain it could be real dangerous come 4th of July weekend
Good job, son.It was my mom's birthday earlier this week, family supper was fried chicken, potato salad, watermelon, cantaloupe, and cherry pie for dessert. It was a darn good meal. For lunch I made her a batch of tapioca, she likes it but isn't patient enough to make it.![]()
Yeah but what do you know about landscape stuff?Well, finished bagging and bundling branches from the magnolia I killed Friday and the neighbors redbud that I pruned*** today. Woof. Probably too hot out for a guy 70-something to be doing this but I did do it in short shifts with timeout in the house to cool off and hydrate. I'd say the breeze helped, "breeze" being 20 mph winds and 35 mph gusts.
Oh, and DND.
*** Note: Their tree is near the property line in front and the guy had sort of butchered it with lots of stubby branches just cut off and lots of dead stuff. I texted them that if it was okay with them I'd take out some of the dead stuff on my side of it...said I was going to be out doing stuff for yard waste pickup on Monday anyway. Left out that I've been wanting (really needing!) to prune it because it bugs me each time I look at it. Looks pretty good right now! Bit-o-work but glad they said they did not mind me taking a saw to their tree. Nice folks, just not good at tree stuff.
Trying to get my family to play cards or anything is harder than pulling out Excalibur. I've been trying for years and I even said my gf likes to play euchre and still couldn't get a game going last night.
For Snoop that's not a special ingredient, just a normal, everyday ingredient...Making Snoop's chocolate chip cookie recipe. And no, there's no special ingredient
The first time I saw this recipe online there was a comment something like "I imagine someone that's had the munchies for 40 years would probably make pretty good cookies by now"For Snoop that's not a special ingredient, just a normal, everyday ingredient...
Haha none of the ones I've previously mentioned actually. A totally new girl. We met in the bar I always go to after work. I had seen her there a couple times before, and she had noticed me too.So which one did you move up to GF status?
