There's so much road construction going on in my town right now. Highway south out of town is closed until October. The county road going out of town to Beloit has been closed since the end of April. And I43 going to Beloit is one lane two way traffic.

The county road was completed on Friday, just needs the white lines. Heard the county is still pulling people over for driving down it. The signs are still up so technically it's still closed, but all the equipment is gone. To me it's safer to go down that road than a one lane interstate. But they probably want to get one last round of tickets in.

When I passed through Charleston WV a couple weeks ago they had signs on the interstate to plan an alternate route for Memorial Day weekend. The westbound lane was so backed up before that.
I took the scenic route through Kentucky on the way back

This is the first construction season in awhile where I've been really affected by it because of routes I use. An intersection I'd use frequently here in Ankeny is completely closed because they're adding turn lanes. (Much needed) Ankeny Blvd is a mess between 1st & 18th because of much needed repair. Also, have to take 235 into work since the University Ave exit is closed on 80/35.

huzzah.

Not exactly sure.
Ok @JM4CY i officially apologize to you. You are still a moron but in the situation of a bear being around Kanawha (although you said Rake at first) you were right. It came up in my men’s bible study this morning. I was also informed that someone had a lion south of Crystal lake.

I told YOU. I was not making that up. I clearly remember seeing it as a kid and thinking it was just crazy that a bear was in a cage in Iowa.

So, does a bear sheet in the cage? What if the cage is in the woods?

It wasn’t a big bear, like a baby black bear so the turds probably weren’t that big and could fit through the gaps in the cage. Could fit through the shitholes, if you will.

There was another east of forest city. The family got it as a cub and would wrestle around with it. The person telling it said then the beat got too big to wrestle.

Saw a guy in a Mercedes convertible, said to myself, that guys lost. Made me realize that you have a good feel of who someone is by what they are driving in my area. We are pretty predictable here on vehicles.

A person less in touch with their inner sloth might take advantage of this nice morning to do some yard work.

Or not.
Neighbor is replacing his wood fence soon so I had to move my wood pile from next to that fence to another fence along my property last night. I think that will qualify me for exemption from sloth status for at least 24 hours.

Haliburton's Pacers advance to the NBA finals, MN United win at Seattle for the first time EVER and solidify their spot in the top three of the MLS Western standings, MN Frost (with Nate Heise's sister) win the PWHL title again, and Cubs win another series and extend their division lead. Other than the T-Wolves being eliminated a pretty good sports week/weekend for me.

EDIT: Almost forgot, Lynx (with BC) move to 7-0, one of only two undefeated teams in the W.

I unslothed some. Pruned out most of the dead wood from my rapidly declining old redbud. Some pretty large branches had all died over the winter so it was pruning saw time. And dug up some hostas. Got gassed, it hit 90.

Did pop over to see the local loons nest and got there just at 2:50 to see the adults changing places on the nest so my timing was crazy good (lucky).
