Does anyone know if they allow you to camp out overnight in the Haunted forest lot? We were thinking about doing it for the Texas game

There were people parked out there last night when I left intramurals at 7:20.

I heard during the Texas game it was somewhere around $125-$150. They pack them in pretty tight there also. Vet med parking would be less and most likely a little more room, but farther away.

We were in that lot for the UNI and Iowa game. It's $20 for cars, $150 for RVs. AT 5:00 AM, the lot was about 2/3 full for the Iowa Game. They do allow people to park the night before.

Do you know that RV's can park near Hilton for $50 for most games (only exceptions are weather and other events, not price-gouging).

Is that something you pre-pay or just show up? Does it fill fast? North side of Hilton? Can you park there Friday night? Saturday night?

If they start charging more than last year then I am not evengoing to bother, might as well donate and get the $50 parking pass. Maybe this is what they are going for by raising prices every year? Unfortunately they are also going to drive away a lot of people who want to attend a game or 2 and tailgate.
Doubt it because the fraternities love the haunted forest. Cops don’t go back there so student rarely have to worry about a MIP. It’s been quickly turning into student lots 2.0

Edit; didn’t realize it was a necro thread

Officially, the Hilton/Scheman lots and grass open six hours before kickoff and you pay cash as you enter. However, I think you could probably pull in on Friday night and then just pay on Saturday morning. It won't fill up this week.

Hmmm...at $20 a game, you would be looking at $120 for six home games. Only $30 more and you could donate $100 to the NCC and buy a $50 parking pass for G7...guaranteed spot in a fun lot with no opposing fan DB's. And if you already donate to get better seats, it's a no-brainer.

I do agree that $20 a game for parking is a lot. It's probably $40 for busses or RVs. I know a lot of people who park in the off streets or at HyVee or K-Mart, but to me, tailgating is almost as important as the actual game. I'd give that $20 and not have a problem doing it. Not to mention, if you pack 4 people into that car, that's $5 apiece for a day of tailgating. Well worth it!

Personally, I don't understand why they aren't charging a couple of bucks for MBB parking.
They upped the minimum donation to get a parking pass to $250.

Pretty sure this is handled just like the student lots. All vehicles must be out or they will tow you. I've parked in these spots for years and usually there when they open and have yet to see any cars in these lots before hand.

There was a huge student party there this year for the UNI game and they did not allow any students to park in the Haunted Forest lot for the Iowa game. I spoke to one of the workers and he said that the owners do not want to deal with that mess anymore and would not let the big student parties happen anymore. It was almost eerily quite in that lot for the Iowa game.
