Arrowhead Hops will be holding the inaugural Harvest Festival and Beer Tasting on August 27th 2011 from 2pm-5pm at the hop yard. Short walking tours of the hop yard and a homebrew tasting area will highlight the festival. Any questions please contact Arrowhead Hops at [email protected] or facebook.com/arrowheadhops

Those of you that listen to the Brewing Network the festival was in the announcements portion of Sundays show featuring Lucky Bucket Brewery. Love their IPA

I will be there! Can't wait to try some of your new brew. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of sampling some homemade beer before, you are missing out. These will be much more flavorful (as well as potentially higher percent alcohol!) than your average Bud, Miller or Coors. This will be a very good time!

Go Clones!

I had some of Lucky Bucket's IPA at Brewfest on Saturday. I thought it was the best new beer I tasted there.

Lucky Bucket's IPA is ok, but Peace Tree's double dry-hopped IPA was the best I had @ Brewfest. Really glad they put all the Iowa beers upstairs. That's where it was at.

Really liked the stuff from Twisted Vine in St. Charles too. Should be interesting to see what they come up with. They also complimented my leaning Cy t-shirt, so they must be Cyclones.

Peace Tree's double dry-hopped IPA was excellent as well. I forgot about that one. Those guys seem to be a little left of center also. My type of folk.

Was just listening to the Sunday Session today at work, didn't get all the way through it, though. This sounds like a great event and I plan on coming.

I don't know if I can endorse the combination of beer, Germany, and DBT.

Wait a minute....

Lucky for me/you and anyone else, it seems they are only going to do a few shows in '12. Otherwise if there were to be a European tour anyone crazy enough to cross the pond would be welcome at the R. Clone casa in Hockenheim.

Beer with fresh raspberries or Templeton rye are just a few on the expected list. BMC drinkers may just find their gateway beer.

Beer, Beer, and Beer are all good reasons to get signed up. Also all of you gardeners may find it interesting as well.

The brewer that won BOS at the Iowa State Fair this year will be supplying some beer for the festival. Also we’ve got lots of cool door prizes to be handed out.
