That's a good place, John's Grocery in IC would be another place to try. They might even try to get it for you if you ask nicely. (Don't wear Cyclone colors in there. They're in Hawktown.)
I wear cyclone colors there. These colors don't run.

Have you ever had the John's Grocery beer that Millstream made for them? It's pretty decent...
It's alright. Nothing spectacular, but decent.

Ohh, so you need special surger cans for this too, so it may not do much good here.

Watching that video reminded me of pouring a nice cold glass of Boddington's and it comes like that right out of the can. It's not as dark as Guinness, but very tasty nonetheless.

Man, I'm getting thirsty....:daydreaming:

I don't get down to John's Grocery much anymore now that I live in DBQ. However, relatives of mine live in New Glarus, WI, so I pick up Spotted Cow on occasion.

Obviously not in the same classification of beers, but far cheaper and easier to obtain.

I always thought boddingtons tasted like soap. Not sure what it is. Maybe I just don't like the creamy Irish beers.

I have been drinking a lot of Widmer recently. That is really yummy.

So what's the deal? Why did the beer not "foam up" like a normal Guinness does when he poured it? Granted, I didn't have the sound on so maybe that's what I'm missing...

Normal Guinness (at least the one stuff in the can) is pressurized with Nitrogen to give it that "alive" effect. I'm guessing these aren't, and the surger excites the Guinness to recreate the surge and settle.

On that note...

Man! I remember when they first came out with that widget in the bottom of the Guinness cans to make it foam. It was super cool then. Only problem was, you definitely needed a glass at the ready. No drinking straight from the can with those babies.
