Lou Brown - Major League

What he did to Roger Dorn's contract was great:smile:

Charlie Donovan: How would you like to manage the Indians this year?
Lou Brown: Gee, I don't know...
Charlie Donovan: What do you mean, you don't know? This is your chance to manage in the big leagues.
Lou Brown: Let me get back to you, will ya, Charlie? I got a guy on the other line asking about some white walls.

I am dubious of any list that has Craig T. Nelson on it (Honorable Mention). Also, where is the basketball coach from the old Applebee's commercials?

One that they didn't have on the list is one of my favorites. Not many of you may have seen Diggstown, but I love that movie. James Woods is coach Caine.

Caine: Okay, look: he's bigger than you are, he's tougher, he's faster, he's younger than you are. He hasn't fought 22 rounds today. But you remember this: You. . . are black.

Palmer: What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Caine: I don't know. I'm trying to inspire you. It's a "Roots" kinda thing. It's a motivation kinda thing.

How about Skip Joe Riggins and Larry Hockett from "Bull Durham":

Skip: You guys. You lollygag the ball around the infield. You lollygag your way down to first. You lollygag in and out of the dugout. You know what that makes you? Larry!
Larry: Lollygaggers!
Skip: Lollygaggers!
...
Larry: Okay, well, uh... candlesticks always make a nice gift, and uh, maybe you could find out where she's registered and maybe a place-setting or maybe a silverware pattern. Okay, let's get two! Go get 'em.
