It was refreshing to see another team get "Barry Browned" for a change. In the first KSU-ISU game, BB was unconscious - making some shots where he could barely see the hoop. Last night, Shayok (while hardly "unconscious") sunk 2 extremely difficult shots at the end. It was also good to have an opposing team finally go "cold" from 3pt range at the end of the game. Those things helped us get back into the contest, take the lead & emerge victorious! Now it's time to destroy Kansas!!

You're probably right. I have been critical of the team at times but always thought prohm is a very good coach.

My only gripe with Prohm is the way he subs. Wiggington doesn't need to sit on the bench the first seven minutes of each half. I was impressed though, how he finally sat Tucker in the second half. Tucker was playing like **** last night.

Hopefully Talon goes off tonight. ;)

IMO this was our most impressive win of the season, because we beat KSU playing their style of game. Most games this season if our offense struggled, our defense disappeared. Hell we had something like 15 points in the first 16+ minutes of the 2nd half and won the game!

The trademark of this team's wins have been strong shooting and taking care of the ball. We did neither last night and still won! Think about it, we had 17 turnovers vs. KSU's 7, in a game played KSU's style- 10 missed possessions is tremendous.

Proud of this teams composure & effort last night.

Agree. Many things in basketball will even out over time. Glad it was our time last night!

I think the best case scenario is ISU wins tonight, make ATLEAST the Sweet 16, preferably by close games. That was, most fans can be extremely please with the season, and the haters and can still happy claiming how the team underachieved during the regular season, and we couldn't blow anybody out in the tournament.
Win/win

Barry is completely wasted, worn out, mentally and physically tired from carrying this team through the season. If there was anything good in getting beat by ISU, it was Barry getting another day's rest.

And let me chime on Babb. When I look at ISU, I see him as the glue that keeps all the 'personalities' focused and aligned. Without him at point, I don't believe for a moment that ISU accomplishes anything meaningful. His replacements are too young, immature, inexperienced. He'd play a ton at K-State. Brown and Stokes would have gone to the off-guard slots with Sneed and Mawien at four and five last night. Babb is ISU's MVP in my book. Love his calm demeanor and senior leadership.

I know that I do say a lot of negative things about KSU, but BB definitely deserved POY. SO, my comment about getting "Barry Browned" was definitely meant as a compliment. BTW, my brother (a banker at UMB in KC) was talking to a KSU donor who was at Jack Stack when the Wildcat team came in to eat after last night's game. He told my brother that Wade was in a boot, on crutches and not putting any weight on his foot & would be surprised if he played in the NCAA. If so, that would be terrible - don't wish that on any player - especially a senior! Anyway, good luck the rest of the way.

Agreed, last night was a thing of beauty. The Baylor game I thought was the best complete win of the year but I thought the game last night was actually our best win the entire season. I've been a vocal critic of Prohm and this team this year but I couldn't be any happier for the program right now. To me personally it was a microcosm of everything I was hoping to see during the regular season.

- Guys having fun again, sharing the ball, and running their offense to get the best possible shot
- Jacobson going beast mode on the boards
-Haliburton taking it right at the rim and dunking over 3 guys rather than being so passive
-Shayok stepping up as a senior leader and hitting crucial shots
-NWB with ice in his veins at the free throw line

And last but not least, you have to give Coach Prohm huge props for turning this thing around quickly. I thought he coached his *** off last night, pulling THT when he was hurting the team was one of the best coaching moves he's done this entire season.

I disagree. Even the players said that they weren’t playing their best during the swoon. Expectations can change.

However, if you’re still complaining abt nitpicking after the last 2 games it’s on you.

Adjusting expectations from “make the tournament “ to “win the conference “ and then being disappointed when the latter doesn’t happen is on you.

There is a big difference between expecting a conference title and being excited about the possibility.
